You can procure dyes via the offhand gathering methods such as harvesting with a scythe as a botanist, spearfishing as fishermen, and quarrying as a miner. These offhand gathering points are visible via an icon on your map, whereas the mainhand gathering points can only be seen on screen by a visual sparkleyshine. you can also use this website.
Once you have obtained the dye of your choice, you must find/craft a suitable piece of gear that can be dyed by that color. Then you can apply the dye to the gear via the synthesis action, which requires that you be the appropriate class and lvl for the gear which you wish to dye.
Cool I understand this part zam.com has been torturing me with all theses recipes with dyes in them. do you pull actual dye from these points or is it another item that you have to craft into the dye?Once you have obtained the dye of your choice, you must find/craft a suitable piece of gear that can be dyed by that color. Then you can apply the dye to the gear via the synthesis action, which requires that you be the appropriate class and lvl for the gear which you wish to dye.
Dye is directly obtained from these points. Also the recipes got changed: whereas in the past in order to dye an item you needed to synthesize Item tobedyed+Yarn/Cloth+Dye, now it is only Item+Dye.
You can find recipes on Yellow Gremlin. Just type the color of the dye (red, blue, purple, yellow, black, grey, green) in the search bar and you will see a list of the gear that can be dyed that color as well as their uptodate recipes.

keep in mind you need the actual craft to put the dye on the gear, and not all gear can be died any color![]()
You need to have a craft high enough to synth the object to die it. So if you want to dye a level 20 piece of gear made by wvr, you need to have wvr to the level of that gears synth which would probably be wvr level 20-25. Dying gear isn't really something low level people worry about. To get a craft to high level you need to leves and farm, in order farm its almost required to have a 50 so you can get the most out of the time you have.
So get a 50 battle class, pick which crafting class you like. and 2nd its not important to even really have dyed gear until you're around 35-40, you outgrow gear to fast pre this to justify having dyed gear unless you can make it.
