Unable to load Character into the game after Patch 4.36

So this issue started yesterday (8/7/2018). Was doing Rathalos Extreme, no problems at all until I went to leave the instance. Upon leaving, the game hung and force closed itself, no error message, no nothing. Upon trying to relog on that character, it gets as far as the loading screen and does the same thing and hangs for a second and closes with no error message.

To confirm it was just that character, I logged into my other characters on the same server and loaded in just fine.

I left it overnight and tried again today, and was able to load in just fine and run duties without issue. And then out of nowhere, the game does it again and once again I'm locked out of that character.

Only information I've been able to gain is from the Windows Event Viewer:
    Code:
Faulting application name: ffxiv_dx11.exe, version: 1.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x5b62ab05
Faulting module name: ntdll.dll, version: 10.0.17134.165, time stamp: 0xf4df6dc2
    Exception code: 0xc0000374
    Fault offset: 0x00000000000f4d1b
    Faulting process id: 0x21ec
    Faulting application start time: 0x01d42f788473423b
    Faulting application path: F:\Windows\Program Files (x86)\SquareEnix\FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm Reborn\game\ffxiv_dx11.exe
    Faulting module path: C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\ntdll.dll
    Report Id: 0a442a6c-9a2f-4db7-bf82-b7d312ed6ec7
    Faulting package full name:
    Faulting package-relative application ID:
This error has not shown up at all since before yesterday.

Things I've tried to fix it:
    -Switching from DX11 to DX9
-Compatibility mode set to Windows 7 (gave a DX11 error doing this)
    -Logging into other characters
    -Reset my PC

Good afternoon and thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

When you were able to play today, how long do you think your were playing before it crashed again?

What exactly happened when you changed the compatibility mode? You mentioned it gave you a DirectX 11 crash?

If it's only with one character you can try deleting the files in the 'My Documents' folder (My Documents > My Games > Final Fantasy XIV), then restarting the game. This is where locally saved files are and there are some that only pertain to that character that may be potentially corrupted.

We hope we can be of assistance in helping you enjoy the exciting world of Final Fantasy XIV!
