Really hard time with Pirates of Shallow Water

I'm having a heck of a time with this quest..any suggestions on how to finish it would be great. Thanks!

On what point in the Quest are you having problems with?
But in general try to keep ypur gear current... also there is no time limit if i remember correct, so you can regen your HP between the fights.
Ranged enemies before melees, also Fellcleave as much as you can, you should be able to gain some of your beast gauge between the fights by killing random mobs unrelated to the quest.
Dodge AoEs.

When you go to the Isles of Umbra and there are roughly 6 mobs to fight at once "The captain's assault against the Serpent Reavers on the Isles of Umbra has begun. Speak to the storm captain to join in the fray." The NPC's just stand there, they do not assist at all. No healing available...I die every time...

Use potions and Equilibrium in Defiance to heal yourself, Steel Cyclone has a good healing effect for mass enemies (lifesteal), also Inner Beast has healing for single target, combine it with Berserk to maximise its effect.
Don't forget to use your DefCDs.
