Game crashes everytime i try monster hunter quest

So everytime when i load into the mh quest my game crashes and gives me these errors
ive tried reinstalling gpu drivers with clean install and older versions
changed my graphics settings to lowest
changed from dx9 to dx11 and back again

Does this crash happen only when starting this quest? You don't experience it anywhere else?

The error you have is a little vague, but there are a couple things you can try in order to alleviate it:

-Disable all programs/overlays running in the background
-Set compatibility mode to Windows 7. Find the exe file, right-click on it and select 'properties.' Click the 'Compatibility' tab and set the compatibility mode to Windows 7.
-Make sure that any anti-virus software they have has the appropriate exceptions for Final fantasy XIV

You can also try a clean boot. Simply open the task manager and select the 'Start up' Tab. Disable everything here and restart the PC.

If the above does not resolve the issue, try reinstalling the game. Make sure to delete the Final Fantasy XIV files in the 'My Documents' folder (My Documents > My Games > Final Fantasy XIV).

Can you submit a Final Fantasy XIV system report? Simply go to the 'Config' option on the Final Fantasy XIV launcher and to the right of 'System Information' click on 'Display.'

heya! sorry for the vauge text i was tired when i wrote that but ive fresh reinstalled the game on a diffrent hdd. I was able to finish the misson once and after i beat it i skipped the cutscene and i can no longer redo the misson as it crashes everytime. i dont expirence it anywhere else and it hasnt happended to me for months untill now. ive tried launching it with a clean boot with no programs in the background but it still happends. i reinstalled all my gpu drivers and wiped them clean. i even tried launching the game using the Ryzen integrated apu with no sucess and used windows 7 compatiblity mode

My husband is having this EXACT problem. Right down to the errors and crashes. We circumvented the issue by logging into his character on my pc. He is also on pc. He is playing in dx 11 on windows 10. I play on dx 11 on windows 8.1. His cs played fine on my pc... but now the 'Felyne' NPC for the bit before the fight is non-existent, again, on his screen. Before this point he was getting crashes and errors in Kugane, just being near the NPC's to start the quest line. Technically I think I could get him into the fight, but if he can't load in, it's just going to get more and more frustrating. "Reinstall the game" is a pretty cop out answer SE. The quest is broken, there needs to be a fix. This has never happened before or in any other zone. We tried all of the above things that were mentioned and there is still no Felyne on his screen.

You may want to try reverting your graphics drivers to an earlier version. Normally, it's better to update your drivers but it can also bring new problems. reverting back to older drivers (but not too old) may resolve the issue. This issue looks to be a driver crash, specifically with your graphics drivers. Make sure nothing is overheating and that you are not overclocking anything.

If you have any overlays open (Nvidia Geforce, Steam Overlay, Discord Overlay, etc.) try closing those. Also, make sure that windows is completely up to date, this includes any optional or recommended updates that might not be installed automatically.

Kiralessence, unless I misread your ticket, it seems that you aren't having any trouble with the quest on your PC, only your husband's. If that's so, I can't saw the quest is broken since it does work, just not on that particular PC. Have you attempted any of the troubleshooting steps listed in the previous post?

Hi there! thanks for the reply and help but i solved the issue by reinstalling the game again on a brand new hdd so i guess it was just a dying harddrive problem! that was a terrible 2 days of trouble shooting but finally fixed it
