Anyone know which server is the 'unofficial' Japan server?

It seems an easy conclusion that the Japanese community will take this opportunity to select a sever for their population. In fact... this merger would be of potential great benefit to the Japanese playing population.

So we know that Server #10 has been designated for French/German,
and then we can know which server is the 'unofficial' Japanese server.
(Of course people can choose not to migrate to a server of designation, but for the rest of us...)

It looks like the RP community wants a server they can agree on, so lets get that sorted out, and then we have 3/10.

Of course we still need to communicated with our own server populations and linkshells.

I don't think there will be any designated Japanese server, official or unofficial.

Japanese players seem to make up the majority of the player base right now, so no matter where you go you will probably have quite a few Japanese players on the server ... except perhaps for World #10.

Yeah there are way too many JP players to fit on only one server.

I would also like to see this gain special attention/updates from our lovely EN/JP translators who like to feed us information from across the language barrier. Although I do enjoy playing with JP players, its sometimes difficult to find members on some of the JP dominated servers (aka, the populated ones haha) It would be nice for at least some news on what servers the majority of the JP playerbase intends to flock together too (I know some are very adamant about playing with only other japanese people).

I'm still unclear which server I plan on taking my Linkshell to, but I do like that the forums are becoming a great medium for outlining unofficial structures for these new servers post-merge. (X will be the main spanish server, 10 is the DE/FR, Y is the RP server, etc etc)

I just took a look at that as well, and it does seem like there are quite a few Japanese players indicating they will go to #10. Quite interesting!

It could be a combination of 2 things:

- Japanese players who do very much want to play on a more international server.

- Time zone. During Japanese peak time, much of North America is asleep -- I rarely see my NA friends except for on weekends. Europe is mid- to late-afternoon, so we tend to see more European players than NA players even during the week.
