So, how is Pagos?

I still see a good amount in anemos too,
You can hate the content all you want but to say no one is doing it is a lie.
Also there is no que since you automatically join.
I enjoyed diadem (people love the DoH/L version too not my thing though) and Anemos
Pagos still has flaws (like light cap and NM crystals) but its manageable
Hoping they have learned for pyros and add the much needed QoL it needs.

The main thing they should have learned after two iterations is that half the problems of both Anemos and Pagos stem from lack of party sync. The reason that the NM train became the most popular form of progression in Anemos is because it's the only thing that a large number of players across a wide level range can do TOGETHER, without having to divide into same-level groups, taking penalties from a small disparity and competing over resources.

Here's the current state of Eureka from the perspective of someone who's late to the party:

Coming to Anemos at elvl 1 and typing LFG in /shout means someone will come to pick you up on a two-seater and help you follow the train because even though you cannot yet contribute, your presence doesn't rob anyone else of their rewards while you can still level up.
Coming to Pagos at elvl 20 and typing LFG in /shout will be met with either dead silence because there will be nobody around your level, or being advised to go back to Anemos because it's much more efficient to farm the early Pagos levels there than it is in... Pagos itself. But hey, at least they buffed the log to the point where you can get the first 3 levels in one week. Oh wait. You're still too low for the Pagos average. Come again when you're closer to 30, good luck!

It astonishes me that they planned out a whole series of Eurekas with apparently no consideration for how later stages of it are even going to sustain a population with so many filters between low- and high-level players that actively discourage veterans from playing together and helping new arrivals catch up.

What happens once all the 35s move on to Pyros and population of Pagos shrinks to nil? Do they buff logs even more so that the entirety of Pagos can be skipped without leaving Anemos? What is even the point of Pagos existing in the first place when its design is so counterproductive to progression? Was it designed to be a trap? Did someone at SE sabotage it on purpose to stop more money and dev time from being poured into Eureka? Dun dun DUNNNNN!

Okay, overreaction and ranting aside, maybe I just picked a bad time to try. I'll give Pagos one more chance next week, but if it turns out I'm still too low to participate in Pagos content, I'm not stepping foot in Eureka again, no matter what rewards Pyros holds hostage.

The same things that happen to every tome gear from the start, where you skip all intermediate ilvl to go directly to the last one. Once the content dies, they will streamline how you obtain the rewards that are tied with it, or simply allow you to run it "unsynced".

After all, it's still fairly eay to obtain Coil's gear for glamours, even if no one runs it constantly...it's also easy to get Diadem items without having to set foot there. Who knows, we might even have an "Open World roulette" that add Experience to each kill for when the level cap will be increased.

Fun fact : If you don't do Steps Of Faith, you can actually reach level 70 without setting foot once in a 51+ dungeon/trial, earn enough tomestones to have the best gear available until the lvl 70 job quest and skip two 8-man and two 24-man full raids for progression.

Even with the recent patch, pagos isn't even technically obsolete yet, that won't be until pyroa is released. I can't get an instance to spawn louhi (a necessity) for my life. I been doing hard 3 days of many instances even forming groups to try to get it to spawn. I dont know what's happening can't even get it when in the rare chance I get a group going even after 2 nights of killing the mobs in one instance.

Yep, one of the biggest issues with Pagos is you can spend an entire lockout trying to spawn a specific NM and have it fail to spawn. At least with Anemos you know an NM will spawn after enough of its spawn mobs are killed if its window is open. With Pagos there is some other factor other than time since last pop and number of mob kills and that is what makes it so frustrating.

I' m thinking they may have closed down a few and funneled people into the same one.

Ive been casually doing Pagos since the week after it got implemented with an hour or two once a week, sometimes twice with it being weekends and reset days mainly. Gonna say right now that other than 4.4 launch and a week after. Pagos isnt dead. If you say theres no one there, then you dont know what youre talking about or are talking about a dead instance or fresh instance. Pagos is still alive and people are doiong it salt or no salt. Last week alone ive had 4 to 5 full instances and without grinding nonstop going full casual with the recent light buffs im almost done on my relic. Id have it today if not for work. All i need is 4 crystals and the final Louhi Ice. If you dont like it dont do it but dont dont claim no ones doing it. The Pagos relic is very much attainable and more so without going full grind mode non stop. ive already seen people with 2 or 3 relics. If you are just starting now its also very doable with the challenge log and making your own party then hoping on a train. if not just shout for an invite when an nm pops up. It can be done.
