For what it's worth, the hotfix notes mention that they plan to continue adjusting Pagos week by week from here on out. Yesterday's fix reduced enemy HP for the elemental conflicts which is a good start at least. Can do those as filler when you're not busy and get a chance at some loot.
Everyone was critical of XIV v1 - and there was a reason. Did you play it? Tanaka's hands were tied. They wanted him to make the game as unlike XI as possible while still being like enough to XI that we would all switch over. The end result was that his visions were crushed, and we got a steaming pile of trash.

Did YoshiP resurrect it from the ashes? Yes. Is this game better than it was? Yes.

But when they add something and specifically say: "This content is for you, XI players. See here are some familiar mechanics and monsters that you loved from your old game" I expect them to at least have UNDERSTOOD what we liked about XI in those days and not double down on the worst aspects that we complained about for YEARS (and that were eventually fixed). And that means not trashing Tanaka's design, because whether you like it or not, his design was one of the first widely successful mmos.

If YoshiP hates Tanaka's designs so much, then stay out of them because he completely misinterpreted them anyway. Make FFXIV and leave XI far in the distant past, because all he's doing is insulting those of us who remember.

And until my sub runs out and I can't post anymore I will 100% remind everyone of what it was really like back then, because I remember.

As an aside, of all the complaints people have had about Pagos, the one thing they thought NEEDED to be hotfixed right away was the stupid bunny fate? That was their takeaway? SE is completely out of touch. I have no high hopes for the rest of their hotfixes if that was their priority takeaway from our comments, both JP and NA.
