But the lowest system would be PS4, the ps4 can handle it perfect.... then you may need to update is NOT SE fult. Jist like we updated from PS3 to PS4 , is also your job to change PC prices or buy new one (however it work)To be honest, I don't mind the grind, but what pisses me off is that they kept with the 144 people formula... Not everyone has a great machine to support that, and it actually is very stressful to not be able to see anything, and be dead for the rest of your party, while in your screen you're still lagging alive. Also, not being able to use mounts since the beginning is a pain.
The JP player no liking it either lol
Really? I (and some people on reddit) have been wondering how the JP players are viewing Pagos.
I dislike Eureka but suffered for the Dyable PLD armor, and used my excess crystals to get DRK to almost ILV335. But Pagos? I spent an hour, died, got a group, farmed, then did the Bunny Fate and learned how terrible it was...and promptly left.
Not katana is worth this. Nor is that crappy PLD weapon. The fact they made something even UGLIER then Galantyn is AN ACHIEVEMENT.
Giving it a little thought, I have some ideas of how they could hotfix Pagos to make it more bearable. This is assuming that they aren't going to completely rework it (which, they should) but leave most of everything intact.
1. Increase NM Spawn Rate and Improve Chain Mob EXP.
The first one is obvious. Make the actual fun part of Pagos happen more often.
As for improvement on chain mobs I personally would increase EXP gain, make chains not expire unless you leave the immediate area, remove the cap on the chain, and/or make conditions to force mutations.
2. Level Sync
Because I have outleveled all of my other friends, I will never be able to play Pagos with them again for weeks or even months. In Anemos, we could hop on the FATE train regardless of our level. In Pagos, I am stuck with randoms for the rest of my days because I have more days off than all my friends.
3. Remove Death Penalty
This is not fun. This is not exciting. It is tedious and harmful. People are using it to grief. People are losing EXP more than before because Pagos is too damn dangerous to traverse to save someone.
In the same vein, it destroys groups so fast it's not funny. You have a tank that messed up and pulled too many mobs and killed you all? I'm not taking the risk and will leave to find another group. I know this sentiment is shared because I'm never the first to leave. People leaving groups has made leveling AWFUL. I spent 7 hours yesterday bouncing between failed groups and went from halfway through 23 and halfway through 24 (which was because people dropped so much and I also saw a whopping 2 NMs in 7 hours).
4. Add Mounts.
I don't care if mounts is 25+ or even 30+. Make it earlier. A good chunk of my fun in Anemos was taxing around lowbies in my party one at a time to the NM spawn locations so they are safe.
-------------------
Are these above changes perfect? No. It's hard to fix the garbage fire that is Eureka. But make it like Anemos again and at least it is passable.
Pagos as it stands a cesspool of irritated people and toxic behavior. There is no more camaraderie or fun shout chat. People are not helping each other enmasse anymore. In fact, Pagos created a huge divide between high and low level players, to the point that I have actually seen insults in shout chat towards lower level players, telling them to "go back to snow queen" and stay out of the northern half of the map. People are left for dead if they unknowingly make the wrong people angry. There is screenshots, videos, everything documenting the nasty attitudes Pagos has brought out. I have never seen the shout chat in FFXIV ever so hateful towards each other and the content (yes. 95% of people I am partying with hate every second of it).
It is insulting to get this as content when it should have been released earlier along with everything else. If they wanted this to take us the whole patch to do, they should have released it with the patch and not staggered content. If Pagos was released back May then maybe people could justify the grind. It's an endless grind for useless weapons and all it really chalks up to is a huge slap in the face of both casuals (because Pagos is not casual content) and collectors.
Moreover, I want a response from the community team to know if they are listening or just ignoring us like always. They can respond within an hour to Rathalos questions, but mysteriously disappear for days on end when people are widely discontent. If SE hears that we hate it and decides to keep it as is, fine. Whatever. They can lose subs, idc. But I want to know that they DO hear it. Right now, all I imagine is the devs patting themselves on the backs oblivious to the fact the community views this worse than Diadem.
I wouldn't get your hopes too high. I don't know why or when or how but at some point, it seems, they decided it was no longer important to talk or listen to us. Having played since 1.0 Beta, watching how silent they've become is incredibly disappointing. Moreover, I want a response from the community team to know if they are listening or just ignoring us like always. The Japanese players usually feel about the same as we do, which makes SE's decision making all the more mystifying. Nobody wanted greed-only 24 mans. Nobody wanted a more boring, grindy Eureka. Where are these ideas coming from?
I know. I already have -0 hope they will respond, but you have to try at least? They should listen to us since NA is their biggest market iirc.
I want to like Eureka. It's why I keep going into Pagos despite me hating it every single time. I want them to make hotfixes to make it more bearable.
(Sorry for edit. This char has a 2 post limit per day until I level her up. Grr.)These are community team members, not the direct SE development team. So they can't immediately answer for you because their job is to give the feedback to SE, and then they will respond back, they translate it, then release it to the public. I am sure they take in feedback and send it to the team. The content just got released, so unless there is something game breaking or immediately not working, then they are going to be taking feedback and comparing how each region reacts to the content and release it then. They also have to take information from multiple sources besides the forums. We may hear from this if enough complaints, but getting a response back this quick is not a normal thing.
I know that the community managers aren't the development team, but they absolutely 100% can write that they have informed the development team of our comments. See the Savage+ Dungeon thread. The only other game I have played that has such abysmal communication between the customers and the developers is TERA, and look how that turned out. Unfortunately on game forums, silence does come off as an answer and that answer is "we don't care".

This post from an earlier page covered it. Sorry about the bad formatting, apparently the forums can't handle this well.
Here are some of the highest rated posts regarding Pagos. Keep in mind that on the Japanese forums instead of everyone posting their own opinion, if they have the same one they just like the post. This way it is easy to find the prevalent opinion.
Also : Fish Hunting = Chaining Mobs and/or Killing Trash Mobs
"I was conscious of the so-called old MMO like FF 11, Eureka.
But to be honest I did not seem to have united the bad places of FF 11 with the bad places of FF 14 ...?
11 There are parts that I imagine based on the story that I heard that I have never done ...
As a specific problem ... In Eureka it is necessary to keep hunting many enemies, but the enemies are tough overall.
In the case of FF 11, it was not necessary to input commands frequently, but in FF 14 it is necessary to continue inputting frequently, so defeating many hard enemies does not match the battle system of FF 14.
Even if you struggle to defeat a lot of hard enemies, dropping and experience values were fine in FF 11, but Eureka is almost equal to none, to say honestly that drops and experience values are troublesome.
In other words, the effort required by players is greater than FF 11 to keep keystrokes on end, but the return is less than FF 11.
I think that it is a problem."
"Even if it is said that "just hunt Zako a lot" without reviewing the fundamental part
"I get tired and the pad wears and I can not do it" I feel like it will ..."
"Level up → I found an abnormal point → I collect → I will investigate → And the level raising loop is also very monotonous.
I think that it will finally be a quest and it will be a lot of story with a thin content.
If you think that the people of No are not good, if you raise the experience value of a small fish a bit, you would like to increase the chain bonus.
The number of the other knockboxes obviously became astringent, and it became the impression that it was fun all over Anemos edition."
"As few as 100 steps can be used as a box
What is it like fireworks and petals come out from that few boxes?
I was disappointed that everyone in the development really thought that I did not learn anything in the previous Eureka"
"It is quite understandable that it was posted to the fish hunt after being told that it is FATE in the end at Anemos
The fish hunting is too bad ... I think that it may be possible to raise the level by 2 to 3 times of 30 Chep up to now, but in fact 1/3 of the gauge is good
About rabbits are already written, but it is really terrible, if you defeat NM normally and you pass through a super danger zone that got even higher density from Anemos than experience value 0, you will get negative
Besides, it will be falling apart in PT ... I could still forgive you if this is the same place
It is irritated at all times, and it is irritating and it is this rabbit of this unhappy w The design is also like an insect
Also, if the small fish does not drop anything, please delete the chain's drop-up icon already, it's OK if the mutation falls off"
And just to prove a point of how they feel -
"I always think that there is no fun hunting fish in the FF 14 system.
What was fun with traditional MMO's fish fish hunting
· The goal of acquiring new skills and new equipment by raising the level and the fun of trying it
· There are degrees of freedom in the direction of breeding of characters, and growing characters specialized for a specific hunting style
· There is a direct drop of rare items from small fish enemies, you can always fight with expectation
I think that it is around, but FF 14 has none (truly truncated).
Also, since the performance of the PC is flat and the performance of the enemy is flat at the same time, since it is this enemy / PT, there is no choice to hunt this enemy.
The enemy is too hard, my fingers get tired, I think that other games also somewhat like comparing the number of buttons
In short it means that there is no sense of refreshing for hunting fish.
Basic FS 14 WS · Magic spinning is a matter of course and it is rather natural rather than "skill use" rather than "other skills" in other game senses.
Recast Only when a buff back of 1 or 2 minutes comes back it turns into a burst turn and makes it a little pleasant.
This is too bad tempo to play at the center of small fish hunting.
Even if the small fish becomes soft like this system, this fish hunting of this game will not be fun.
Because it's not fun to f*** funny fish triggering trigger.
Anemos pretty much caught it, but it was a pleasure to visit NM, so the hunting of small fish itself was painful.
High level NM boiled down with the expectation and goal that it probably will boil when looking at lipop time and weather.
I think that Pagos will be able to enjoy it to a certain extent if the EL of the whole is raised and the NM boiling becomes active
Since the early stage NM is small, it is painful."
They too miss the NM Train.
Yet they ban for an "F-word" even if its not directed to someone, that always go first. But since the release we complain about the same things. And tbh, at least a party sync should be default, you can not sweet talk it. Just befrore i was in party 24-26, we killed mobs and the moment i hit 27, since the lowest still was 1/4 before 25 i got about 1k less exp... yeah right, so either I leave and get another party, leaving em with one member short OR kick the 24 wich spent all the time with us... kinda... tbh i noticed my self i started to think about not raisng other ppl and not wait with fates... playing like that kinda brings up the worst within me...
And i know we wont get that perfect hotfix that'll make it at least as ok as anemos, but at least some "we gathered your feedback and are delivering it to the devolpers" at some of those threads would help a lot..
