So, how is Pagos?

I'm level 29 and its been a week and I haven't done my challenge logs yet this week. I have a full time job before anyone asks. Content is fine and all I've been doing is grouping/chaining with friends and talking in discord about dumb things in my free time. Its been fun for me so far. Kinda glad the train is dead, got tired of afking.

Imagine if you weren't able to Discord with half or more of them because of time availability. Imagine if you were only able to party with randos whom you'd love to converse with, but the Chains didn't exactly allow for writing out messages. Your experience is not everyone else's, but if you can imagine being unable to socialize where it matters then you can, maybe, imagine how boring this system is for so many of us.

If you were AFK during the train, that was because you decided to be. Some players had to actually kill mobs and not just leech. One is left to wonder why you might have preferred AFKing to mindlessly grinding mobs...

But I do converse with the randos I do party with when friends can't play. Theres plenty of time setting up to chain mobs that you can talk and even then if you really wanted to, you could just make your own discord server and invite people to it to talk during chaining.

Shouldn't that tell you something? The majority of people elected to join the train or AFK outright than chain grind mobs, i.e., doing literally nothing was more appealing than grinding trash mobs. Maybe the takeaway for the devs should have been, "how can we make this more fun so people want to contribute and actively play?" or "Maybe we should set damage requirements to NMs to lessen the AFKing since everyone seems to prefer Notorious Monsters." Instead, they seemingly got mad we weren't doing it as they intended. Good job, SE...

But yeah, preferring to kill bosses with actual mechanics in lieu of trash mobs who do the same thing endlessly is toxic.

That's good for you, but it disregards most other people. I'm also fairly certain that I asked you to think about those other people, but you didn't. It's almost like you decided to exclude the thoughts or feelings of others who are unlike you, but that can't be right. Oh no, it most certainly cannot. Let's try this again. Can you put yourself in the shoes of so many other people, and imagine from their perspective, what it's like to be unable to truly converse without tools like Discord when you are trying to keep up a single Exp Chain?

If you think I'm being toxic by pointing out the contradiction between your words and actions, you need to get a grip.

What does it matter if you couldn't chain groups? You could still kill mobs, help the NM spawn faster, and get your XP. The end result is the same: you grind mobs to get XP.

Well let's be honest most of the time the whole instance was together and mobs died so fast that alot of people coudn't even land a singe attack on them
Also atlast in my experience alot of the people that were accused for being afk were the ones ressing/healing the ones that kill the stuff for the NM spwan. Yes there were people just standing around doing nothing but emotes too but atlast some of them helped ressing others.

One of my favourite parts about the "train" was the acceptance of everyone. Mostly no one complained that a bunch of level 6 or lower people were with us at the high level NMs. besides that I loved the chattyness of the the instance. Everyone was talking, making jokes, telling stories all that good stuff we simply had a nice time together.
Now in Pagos we either have silence or "inv fate", "lfg lv XX", "need res at pos XX"
I'd take the "train" over what we have now anyday. Yes it was flawed but atlast not as boring as it is now. But hey atlast we can do dummy striking for a few hours and get exp in the process so that's nice I guess..? (not for me)

now lvl 32 more thoughts. they killed the train, chaining is actually viable now. so I guess the idea is you find other people your lvl, kill higher lvl enemies the sweet spot is 5 lvls above you and the party. there are nm's at every lvl spawned by mobs 5 lvls higher than the boss nm. it works, some issues have been that it can be hard to find a party of others your lvl. I spent over 2 hours looking for a group today at lvl 31. maybe its some lvls are awkward now idk if it will improve or get worse but its an issue I think. but yea it works.


i'm pretty sure the geothermic teleport is at lvl 30 to just cause pain for people. its kinda silly cause lvls 26-29 literally make the most use of that area, a little bit of 30 in there. honestly its like they are trolling us but whatever.


now my biggest complaint right now is that the bunny fate isn't 100% chance that you get a bunny on gold. why why why so much rng, like its enough rng to see what you'll get, its pretty sad when 50 other people get a bunny but not you. I've seen dozens of people including myself finish the fate with "wtf why didn't I get a bunny?!" lol...
