I really don't understand how NM spawns in Pagos work, but it does feel like significantly more have been showing up lately.
Not enough to make them the primary source of EXP (Which I honestly feel is how things should be), but still a regular and (Usually) pleasant break from the monotony of chaining.
SE gave me a good reason to play the new WoW expansion.
I took the patch notes as a sort of "Yes, we are listening. We know you're not happy. Here's something to help tide you over while we work on more adjustments in the coming weeks."
I'll give them a bit of time to sort it out. It shouldn't have been released like this in the first place obviously, but at least we know they heard the complaints.
They left it suspiciously vague, and I feel like they're waiting to see if we stop complaining. We shouldn't. They're really good at interpreting our reactions to suit their desired outcome, which means that when we stop complaining because "ok they heard us" they can go "see! The bunny fate was the problem all along!" and clap themselves on their backs for fixing the issue. Yes, SE, we're waiting - but we're not going to stop telling you it's bad until you fix it.
The little message to us in the hotfix notes is very non-committal.
We need them to commit.
If they did that, it would destroy the whole point. You are supposed to grind not power level. It would make the people that like Pagos not like it. Relics are meant to be a grind. The early relic steps in Anemos were laughably quick, once your character had elemental level 20.
Slightly increasing chain times would help some (so people can type), but lowering HP hurts the grind. Some people want to grind. There is a great deal of old school mmo nostalgia that goes with it. It goes back to a time where you only join a group, when you know you have a least an hour to play. 2 hours was the average. They don't comment on the forums, because they don't want to deal with the hate they could receive. It's an echo chamber in here. The last thing Pagos needs is a nerf.
They say a picture is worth a thousand words, so here you go:
" So, how is Pagos?":

Ah yes the Nostalgia of waiting an hour just to get a group together because SE in their infinite wisdom has made it so that unless you are within a level of each other your exp is nerfed into oblivion. Or the nostalgia of your chain being ruined because all of a sudden another group decides to set up camp near you and take your mobs, or perhaps the nostalgia of your wrists hurting and you dying of boredom because you can't even get up to go to the bathroom because doing so ruins your chain. This kind of nostalgia makes me glad I decided to play vanilla WoW instead of FF11.If they did that, it would destroy the whole point. You are supposed to grind not power level.
