    Yeah, Anemos was a bit of a mind numbing grind at first but could actually be a bit of fun once you were a decent level and had got your mount. Reminded me of the old N. Thanalan FATE train.

    Wasn't exactly top tier content but was fine once you were over the initial hump. I didn't really want to have to do that initial grind all over again though...

    Finally dived in after work ... got whooping total of one crystal and one lock box after I suppose lucky spawn of a NM near by!
    I did part of the challenge log to lvl 21 and had go cause it was getting late. Oh dear lord, my poor wrist. I joined as WHM at first but switched to RDM to help kill the mobs faster. Countless scatters and a pained hand later, and no crystals or any drops. I left with a bitter taste. I will hold my opinion for a day or so to see how it is after NM trains happen. :/

    There was a bunny fate too that no one wanted to touch. Top of all, can't risk to lurk even bit cause of delevel danger and people are less bothering to go into danger zones to res people.

    You know how in Anemos, if you died in the low levels and rez yourself, you don't lose exp or levels? Turns out in Pagos you do, be warned, I learned that the hard way T^T

    I think it's probably best to do the bunnies when you are max level, since you already don't get exp, and you can actually look for the treasure (since my bunny tried to lead me far to the north with ultra-kill monsters).

    Pagos just nails home that the devs only listen to their Japanese player base, ie, the community that actually seems to LIKE tedious, mind numbing, boring af grind for some inexplicable reason. At this point, I doubt I'll be subbed much longer.

    I dislike Eureka but suffered for the Dyable PLD armor, and used my excess crystals to get DRK to almost ILV335. But Pagos? I spent an hour, died, got a group, farmed, then did the Bunny Fate and learned how terrible it was...and promptly left.


    Not katana is worth this. Nor is that crappy PLD weapon. The fact they made something even UGLIER then Galantyn is AN ACHIEVEMENT.

    The Japanese players usually feel about the same as we do, which makes SE's decision making all the more mystifying. Nobody wanted greed-only 24 mans. Nobody wanted a more boring, grindy Eureka. Where are these ideas coming from?

    Either remake this MMORPG, make a NEW one because these systems have been played out, or just make everything a Boss fight ala Extreme/Savage. Seems to be the only thing they can do right is glamour (meh) and mechanic-heavy boss fights. I bought a month of subscription for this patch. The Monster Hunter fight I think is worth it for game play. Pathos is nice because I like snow but it's just a drag.

    I spent majority of my time during patch day doing Eureka and I reached level 24. Honestly, I personally think Anemos was better than Pagos. Pagos has a terrible levelling curve while also nerfing a lot of ways people tried to get EXP (It took me a whole day just to reach 24 and that was with monster grind and doing fates). They made NMs take forever to spawn but didn't change how much exp mobs give so the grind goes at a horrible pace. They do have the adaptation mechanic (enemy grows bigger and gives 4x extra exp) but this rarely ever happens so they might as well not have it.

    Also for some reason they made almost every monster in there tanky as hell and hit like a truck so you can hardly solo anything compared to Anemos. When you were below the enemy by 1 level or the same level most early monsters you could kill and level with them but Pagos you can't really do that. People say bad things about the Fate train but that made the grind at least somewhat interesting compared to the now slow as hell chain mob which take 10 years to kill a single enemy for tiny exp. Also we get no new magicite (21/23 quests) in the early levels so we aren't getting a boost in damage/defense for the new area. We could perhaps get one at 25 but who knows.

    The challenge log was a great addition to Eureka and I'm glad they created it because it made the early levels go by quickly and I think they should have more of these but perhaps in Leves form which gives lore and reasonable amount of exp to the whole group depending on how you do and they could perhaps have a impact on spawning NMs.

    Overall, I just feel that they didn't take much of the feedback given and just created a zone and made sure people couldn't do the NM train and didn't consider trying to change the other areas of Eureka to make it somewhat interesting and reasonable when it came to levelling. There could be something different down the line for exp but so far it doesn't feel very different when it comes to levelling up. Also, wouldn't surprise me they purposely didn't change the exp after nerfing NM train just so the content lasts until 4.4.

    Edit: Extra note the combat in this game isn't made for this type of content. Honestly after going through the grind from tanking my hands were hurting a bit and I actually decided to afk in the train to have a break from it. It just doesn't seem like a good idea to have enemies with such high hp and needing to kill multiple of them (200+ if you want to level only using the chain bonus way which is just stupid with how slow it is).
