Personalize Maps with Notes

I would love to be able to add personal 'field' notes to the in-game maps, especially for dungeon runs. I often wind up in roulette dungeons that I barely recall. In situations like this, especially when tanking, it would be a huge help to be able to leave notes to myself on contents of treasure chests, boss fight mechanics, locations of key items, etc.

Would be useful, and this doesn't have to be something that is saved server side, could just keep this information saved locally so server space would not be an issue. Being able to make possible A and S rank spawn locations and where chests spawned in something liek Diadem could def be useful.

I know the person who made the custom maps for XI that most people seem to still use
It's pretty darn useful. Would be nice to have a hot editable map in the current age.

I loved those XI maps. They were especially useful in zones like Sky were it was so easy to get lost with all the entrances and exits.

Would be nice if they'd let us mark up the XIV maps.

This is something I would love. It would be great to be able to pin markers to the maps for things we want to remember later, like in FFXI. Granted there wouldn’t be near as much use in xiv due to how the game instructs you where to go, but I still find myself wishing the maps could be personalised pretty often.
