Some QoL improvements and suggestions for pet micro for SCH

Hi, I want to preface this with a disclaimer that I'm not a Savage Raider, and I'm a 100% casual player and I don't really expect Square Enix to follow everything in this post and implement it in the next patch ASAP or in any other patch, nor do I say that anything here is 100% a good idea and everyone will like it. Also it's 2am so sorry for my bad attempt at communicating.

So my suggestions are as follows:

    * Fey Union should be interruptable by "Place" or "Heel". There are a lot of times that I couldn't reposition my fairy or leave her alone in a separate area because I didn't interrupt Tether, and it resulted in the fairy disappearing or me wasting a WD because my fairy wasn't in position. As of now, to reposition the fairy, you have to disable Tether and then do command.

    * Casting a spell (i.e: Embrace) should be interruptable by "Place" or "Heel", or have an option you can enable which has "Place" or "Heel" interrupt a spell cast always. This is also similar to the first point as well.

    * This is actually two suggestions for the same idea. First one is the ability to "follow" or "guard" a party member and the ability for the fairy to "Hold Position". It's like Heel, but for party members. Or, have the ability to "place" the fairy to the max distance. I'm not sure if it's intended but there is a "limit" on how far you can click on an area using "Place". It's really evident in 24 man like Rab. Basically TL;DR: more options for the fairy to move towards the maximum distance.

    * This is a lot more difficult to implement in the game but waypoints. Pets should have the ability to queue and execute commands one after the other. My initial clunky idea for it is to have "Caps lock" as the button to enable and disable waypoint mode. If you're in waypoint mode, the commands queue up, if you're not in waypoint mode, the current command will be interrupted by the new command.

    * Intermittently, there are times where I notice a delay before the fairy executes a command. It's really obvious if you try and do place commands over and over again, and the more place commands the slower she moves. I'm not sure if it's the turn rate or something but that should be gone. This is probably connected to my first and second point.

I don't think pets require the QoL changes you mentioned. If you place the fairy at the right spot, i barely need to move her if tank is an idiot and runs away from the fairy like 50 miles away. A.k.a. not my problem

And i usually only place my fairy in boss fights, because miasma 2 is close combat aoe, i need to stand close to tank in trash mob pulls so i don't usually place fairies when i use fey union etc. And if you prefer not to dps as a healer until you are more comfortable, you can try standing a bit closer for easier pet management.

Fairy command delays were sooo bad before 4.3? i think, when they adjusted it so when you order fairy to do something, it interrupts the cast and do what you commanded her to do. Before that it was much more terrible. So, i think it is like heaven right now comparing to that.

I don't understand what you meant by waypoints. It may be because of my bad english but i don't understand what you are trying to say.

I think SCH needs a mastery if you wanna be good. It is really different from WHM and AST, so it requires more work to get to that mastery level. Once you do that, it becomes natural.

Nah I'm not a purist healer. I place the fairy so I can heal everyone and adjust her location depending on what's happening, so I move around and dps while not interrupting her cast from me just constantly darting everywhere and dodging AoEs.

The only reason I wanted Tether to be interruptable by place and heel is that I feel it's a bit clunky to interrupt Tether and _then_ Place or Heel, which is annoying whenever I wanna reposition for WD and forget to interrupt Tether, and thus only WD'ing the tank and the melee DPS. I do hit the interrupt before Place more times than not, but there are still times where this happens and I just think how clunky it feels.

I think, when they adjusted it so when you order fairy to do something, it interrupts the cast and do what you commanded her to do.
This is what my second point was, but most times Embrace/WD spell casts has higher priority than Place or Heel. This happens if she's casting Embrace/WD on someone and you try to place her, and she won't follow the command. If they have implemented it, this maybe a bug then.

It's basically shift+queueing in RTS. Basically you can tell her to do this _then_ do this _then_ do this, so she does the commands one after the other. Video link: https://youtu.be/DmZIglzsaUE?t=3m1s

Yes which is why I love SCH. I love the pet micro mechanic, and I love being flexible with the pet during battle.Which is why I made this suggestion post since I feel some parts of it really clunky, and are starting to bite me in really worse moments.
