People selling UWU clears through PF

Has anybody noticed this recently? People have been selling UWU clears, and they are using PFs to advertise it, linking a discord in their comment.

People have found that when they join the discord, they are asking for IRL money for these clears. I think it's disgusting, and I am wondering how exactly FFXIV GMs could crack down on this.
For example, you couldn't just ban/mute people who post discords in their PF and chatlogs, since many people use discords in the FFXIV community.

Would it be up to us then? Would we have to start recording videos (so it records the chat, since they could just verbally say what their selling conditions are, to avoid getting incriminating screenshots)?

Would GMs even accept these videos? Someone could place an audio file over a video and use it to get people falsely banned. And this is what the player who is selling the clears could claim.
Tricky business.

A lot of people have been calling for active GMs, who play the game and ban obvious bots in real-time. We might need some of these types to investigate these sellers by pretending to be one of the players to collect evidence.

Yes, I've noticed. The only options I've got is to ignore them, avoid the roulette section of the PF and BL them whenever I get the chance. The thing I hear is that the GMs can't accept any evidence that doesn't take place within the game itself.

If they want to spend their money into those clear... well...

While it is RMT when going by definition, it isn't a form of RMT that actually has an effect on the economy or gameplay experience of the majority unlike gil sellers and bots flooding market boards.

I mean lets be honest, they offer you pretty much a stress-free carry in the hardest content available to get you your shiny weapon - but they naturally seek compensation for it, which is reasonable since while they sell the clear it is still tough to do.

In my eyes, it really isn't a thing that needs to be hunted down since the market is abyssmal as is and really doesn't have an effect on 98% of the players other than triggering them.

Also we had 9 FC's with 89 Lalafells in each all BLM and WHM obviously up to no good. So weather people are buying Gil to pay for clears or using real money to save the inbetween shenanigans, this wont ever stop it will get worse and worse.

It is getting worse indeed. Seeing a lot of advertisements in PF lately and also RMT shouts in cities seem to get worse each day.

True. In fact, SE should get in on the market and just offer the clear plus weapon on the mog station.

I mean, if it's not an issue, it's not an issue, no? And if SE is the one offering it, you won't run risk of getting scammed, so it comes with the benefit of extra security.

There's something to be said about making some cash on the side selling this content. There's also something to be said about it devaluing the achievement of beating the fight.

Personally speaking, I don't agree with the practice at all. This is why I won't ever tender their services, nor offer any such service myself.

But I can't fault people trying to profit off of what they're good at.

If a market is as small as this one and the number of ppl buying this is even a fraction of actual clearers which is a tiny fraction ofthe community to begin with it holds no merit to hunt it down.

What you suggest is to turn an abyssmal and easily ignorable market into public access, an official one at that - a way to cause massive PR damage to SE directly by spoiling it on a much larger scale than private clear sellers and destroying the trust of raiders along with it.

In short your suggestion is actually making it an issue, not streamlining it and not fixing the possibility of sellers offering it cheaper. Well thought.
