Yeah totally, my first language is spanish; I'm really used to speaking with english players, japanese too from XI, but have never mingled with many french and german. It sounds pretty cool as long as they have their own share of JP and ENToo bad there's no worthy highly camped open world content, the French/German server would have been a good place for NA endgame LS to go !
On topic:
I never liked to play MMORPG's with people speaking the same language as me, so I'd avoid this server.
Playing a MMORPG is not really an efficient hobby in my opinion, so learning/practicing/improving another language while playing is a big plus to me.
Server 10 will be like this:
50% Germans
40% Frenchs
10% Others
80% of Germans will only speak German (/sh Ifrit @ 4/8 only Germans)
90% of Frenchs will only speak French (/sh Ifrit 4/8 only French)
[Sarcasm on] Would like to have a Player-Kill Feature on this Server between those two Countries (not to be able to turn it off) [Sarcasm off] ^^
Its not a french/german server. Its a recommended EU time zone server.
SE really need to fix the english announcement.
And it remain a suggestion, not all EU will go on this server and we might end to see more NA/JP than EU people on this server.
The German community, while the majority speak good English, do like it when they can communicate in their own language. The requirement to speak English in order to be able to play with others is what can get you down over time.
By encouraging people in the EU time zone to go to server 10 they become about 10 times more likely to encounter people that speak their own language. This can be a very comforting thing, so I at the very least support it.
it's fixed on the lodestone page, now they really need to share the info. it's a EU recomended server.
