Server Merge - Figaro

My linkshell Phenomenon will be moving to server 6. This was decided upon by our lead staff. If SE changes their minds about releasing the names we will reassess the situation.

Most of Figaro's English speaking population seems to get along. I see no harm in aiming for the same server across the board. It'd probably be good to get the word out now for maximum exposure.

We can probably assume most DE/FR players will go to server 10.
Likewise, the nature of 8 being a lucky number in the eastern cultures makes it inevitable it will attract such a population, much like how 3 and 7 are more lucky in the west.

I sent messages on xivpads to ls leaders of what seemed active linkshells, been spreading the world in game, posted a blog on my lodestone site, and this thread. Not too sure where else to go. Help would be appreciated spreading the word! Keep it going!

One reason my bf and I were thinking 6 was picked is because Figaro is from FFVI. I was kind of following someone else's intel on merge decisions since some friends are spread throughout those linkshells.

I've been talking with a few others and it seems that even a lot of the JP are thinking of going to server 6 as well. So, it seems like pretty much the whole server will probably end up moving together~

The only concern I have at the moment as I've mentioned to some other LS leaders is that some of Gyshal seems to have picked 6 as well. This could either be good or bad depending on what the pop cap ends up being and how many of them actually choose to move there since Gyshal is one of the larger servers as well.

On that note, we talked an our LS will definitely go with whatever the decision ends up being

XIVpads.com made a server merge directory that I saw posted in another thread here. Figured this might be a good way to keep an eye on player numbers on each new world. I know it's not completely accurate, but it'll give us a general idea. I won't be adding my linkshell just yet. Going to watch this for a few days.

Just a heads up, we might not have to do this after all. Yoshi P made another post that basically says after listening to feedback, they may go with option 2 instead. This was the one where 2 servers are merged with the option to migrate if you want. Here's hoping~
