A history in server merging - Why SE is creating an overcomplicated mess.

Yes it's their fault that sometimes life catches up with you and you don't have the time to play online games despite having the will to pick them up again in the future.

I dont personally care if they left for rift or because FFXIV doesnt offer enough. Hell I was glad to see many go. Spit happens and i am sorry to people who absolutely cannot play and -want- to but its the way the cookie crumbles. I can however say that I don't give a rats behind on the current situation pertaining to those not paying.

What I saw was a bunch of whiny d-bags who quit when payment was required, those people can get tossed into a reject server and all come back and be little whingers together when 2.0 comes out.

How about you spend less time on pathetic little gifs and complaining and more time organising with your friends to move to a server together.

The server merge method in my opinion is good. It allows organised linkshells and friends to stick together while maintaining an essentially balanced population across all servers. The people who aren't playing don't have the benefit of choosing, and as far as I'm concerned shouldn't. If you're not playing now there's a good chance you will be playing at either 1.21 (before the merge) or 2.0 (when the servers are remade anyway).
This whole shit kicking fiesta is premature, if only people would think things through.

Blanket merges suck for the new people coming in. Always has, always will. This way we are all getting a fresh start with new faces and nobody "owns" the server.
