just cause people are complaining doesn't mean they were gonna change the way they are doing it. You are complaining about complainers = +1 complaint. To the community:
Please stop complaining about the way SE is doing the Server merge. The way they are doing it is the most fair way to do a server merge. To the crying RPer's, think about it this way, you can pick a server and announce it in many ways. Also think about it this way if they told us the names of the servers and all the RPers pick Selbina and then all the FFXI fanatics picked Selbina too, not all the RPers or FFXI fanatics could fit on one server and it would close.
This would mean some RPers would have to flock to another server as well as the FFXI fanatics. This would only piss off that server because then they have to deal with RPers. This would also make RPers mad because if a friend of yours or Guardian forbid your "in game wife" get split because a server fills up. You would then do exactly what you most of the idiots attached to names are doing now and complain of the forum.
The way SE is doing it now you can pick Server 1 and people who dislike RPing can stay the hell away from that Server and not feel connected to a server name. This is FAIR.
To the Dev:
Please do not cave to a community that is crying over something as trivial as a name of a server. The current way of merging is FAIR to everyone because we are all in the same boat. If you give the names of the servers this will just be unfair because you will have people fighting for server control over a name.
If people threaten to quit over a name of a server, all that means is they like the name of the server they are on more than the game and that they would quit soon eventually either way. Also the community asked for a server merge, you give them one and they complain. They are going to complain either way as I pointed out in the "to the community part". So just deal with this complaining and let them get over it.
