    The Spell Fencer utilizes a special Magitek Weapon known as: The Gunblade to manipulate the aetherial imbalance granted and fueled by ceruleum.

    The Spell Fencer must charge the Gunblade and drain the magic from the crystal, which is installed on the blade, to utilize it and grant its Gunblade with Magical Spells.

    *The next few slides sort of explain the job; but you can skip down to Abilities / Spells / Weapon Skills below if you want that to paint the picture of how it operates.

    [The Story Behind the Gunblade]
    The Gunblade: Where did this "Unique" sort of weapon come from? And better yet; who were these Gunblades designed for?

    Cid, before exiting the Garlean Empire, built a prototype blueprint for a Gunblade that had a fragment piece of Mother Crystal attached to its hilt; the Mother Crystal could not perish, when refining the Ceruleum it produced, allowing it to contiuously charge, and defuse. But after designing, and crafting this Gunblade, this experiment went weary.

    His father, Midas, and as well as Cid, were engulfed with this project: as this could potentially be the most powerful weapon ever crafted: one that would ascend the Judges and the Empire into an even greater height.

    Midas, experimenting with this new Gunblade, perished, as the fragment mother crystal became too charged and combusted into an imbalanced aetherial mist.

    The Gunblade and the fragment mother crystal as well as Midas, his father, were gone.

    Where did they go? Did they truly perish?

    Quest Giver: Cid: The Ghost that Haunts Me

    Still recalling that event, Cid while meddling with the situation concerning Omega; was caught by surprise when in the corner of his eye, he spotted a figment image swiftly moving through the shadows. Midas...

    The Warrior of Light present, is tasked to investigate this.

    Upon reaching a corner the Warrior of Light is caught off-guard by a masked man, wielding a gunblade, attacking him.

    [Instance] Enemy: Ascian Looking Target with a Gunblade
    Upon almost defeating this mysterious foe; a cutscene plays with Cid calling out: as he recognized that weapon.

    "Stop!"

    As the Warrior of Light strikes the head, the mask bounces off and Midas, Cid's father; though a bit more pale and frail, he still looked as though he hadn't aged a bit... Midas stares into the eyes of his son.

    Midas, on his knees, blade dug into the tile, and used as a cane, "Cid..." whispered Midas.

    The Warrior of Light not understanding what has happened, took a step back and questions Cid.

    "Where did you go?"

    "Trapped between the aetherial flow of hydaelyn; she whispered to me and told me the secrets I needed to know... she showed me your death, at the hands of Omega... and she said there's only one that can stop it," Midas meets the Warrior of Light's gaze: "I am here to extend my hand to help."

    [The Special Prototype Elemental Crystal]
    Ceruleum, this rare substance created by draining the energy from crystals, is the source of power that energizes the Gunblade's Magitek Technology.

    This particular Crystal, can continuously be charged and drained; which allows the Spell Fencer to manipulate its capabilities and cast spells.

    The Elemental Crystal is attached to the Gunblade; his Weapon Skills charge the crystal, allowing it to remain

    The Spell Fencer's base rotation charges the Elemental Crystal, once ignited the Spell Fencer can manipulate an imbalanced aetherial prowess that can conjure these special ceruleum fueled spells.

    The MP, is Ceruleum… but it's still MP
    • The Weapon Skill called: Cross-Fire ignites the Ceruleum Gauge.
    • The Gauge reduces by 1% per second until completely exhausted.
    • The Gauge has a 50% Meter.

    [Basic Spell Fencer's Mechanic]

    I wanted to make this one really easy.

    Charge the Elemental Ceruleum Crystal; the Crystal can be ignited once its surpassed the 14% Threshold.
    • Why so early? Because it can give added bonuses to certain WSes / Spells, etc.

    *Full Combo only available if Ceruleum Gauge is charged at 42%.

    Upon using the ability: Cross-Fire [Ceruleum Ignited] >> Duality Weave >> [Basic Magical Rotation] >> Trueflight

    [How do you charge the Ceruleum Gauge?]

    Weapon Skill Combos Charge the Ceruleum Gauge.

    When the effect of: Ceruleum Ignite is on, the Spell Fencer can utilize his Aetherial Manipulations to cast spells.

    Certain spells [Outside Rotation] have a (-%) it removes from the Ceruleum Gauge. So the mechanic for the Spell Fencer is to charge the gauge, utilize the capabilities from the Spells it has at its disposal, and recharge the gauge.

    • First and foremost, yes, this is a DPS Class…
    • Secondly, just chose to give Spell Fencer the Gunblade; but also added the Ceruleum produced by a Prototype Elemental Crystal connected to its Hilt. This Weapon was crafted by none-other than Cid, and produced for Special Officers in the Garlean ranks. However the case, due to circumstances, the Gunblade never made it to the hands of the officers...

    • Lastly, this is somewhat of a mashup job; yes, Spell Fencer knows Magitek Spells and such, therefore his name: "Spell" the Fencer comes from the Gunblade he wields. It uses Magical Ranged attacks too: so it's an overall Hybrid job. It's unique in that sense, but also has familiarities with other jobs like Black Mage / Red Mage / Machinist.
    • Certain Weapon Skills use up: MP(Ceruleum) and TP; b/c the Spell Fencer uses the Ceruleum to power the "Magic Blade / Gun" Weapon Skills.
    • There's a total of 25 Abilities / Spells / Weapon Skills, ranging through level 76. I'll make adjustments later depending on community feedback =D

    So this is a Spell Fencer: was sort of curious in regards to how a Gunblade could be used; of course, it's a Magitek Weapon, from what I've explained in the presented Lore, so it uses it's Crystal to cast Magitek Spells.

    This Job idea sort of sprung to mind from a "How Should a Gunblade User Play" thread.

    *The Spell Fencer has a Stoneskin like spell and a spell called "Firewall;" if this is too much Raid Utility, let me know and I'll adjust it to what I originally had before: An "Earth Shot" - Which deals a Ranged attack infused with Earth Damage.
