Oh okay. Must be part 3 coming with 4.4 then.
Hear now were only going to get weapon upgrades from Pagos. Hope they add armor upgrades to with new looking gear. Hope they give more than just fireworks for bag rewards.
I dunno, ppl yet complain about Fate grind yet there were two complete eurekas on my data center and they are usally full at least one.My sentiments exactly. Pagos will determine my opinion on Eureka as a whole as I'm willing to accept the delays were so they could design every zone at once. If it's the same boring "kill a bunch of trash before a FATE spawns," I'll chalk it up as yet another misstep for Stormblood.
I'm not really sure what to think now, perhaps SE is right just use a carrot and everything is done.
Perhaps I should stop caring about it and just play the game, seems that anything unrelated from my entertaininment is just making my life worse at this point
You do realize that patches are now closer to 4 months right? 4.3 release back in May and 4.4 is in September. I personally feel that they are spread out content far too much and it's definitely easier to un-sub for periods at a time now. The only thing keeping me to this game is the addiction factor. After coming back from a four month break I can see now that the FFXIV team is getting a little too comfy with their content and it's starting to show. This is pretty much the most egregious way to spread out content I've ever seen. I mean, I get they want to spread out 4.3's content, but dude the next patch is like a month away and people want stuff to do man.
I can't be the only one who feels like they screwed up this content timeline....
Yeah, part 3 in 4.4 or more accurately 4.4x because it's likely to be staggered away from the main patch.
Well I feel like Pagos is a filler chapter because it's skipping armor upgrades and we've had confirmation that armor will be back in part 3, in addition to part 3 bringing a new gameplay system which allows jobs to be played like a different role eg bard-tank.
Part 2 (pagos) is only weapon upgrades and some kind of hidden treasure system with snow bunnies helping you find loot. Knowing that game development has to be planned a lot in advance, they may not have had enough time between anemos and pagos to fully adapt to player feedback yet so I wouldn't make a final verdict on eureka this soon.
Should’ve released with or the week after HoH with the weapons being 365. Now the conundrum is that if they release as 365 weapons now, they’re a month late to the party minimum, while 370 or 375 makes them invalidate all other current weapons.
Mayhaps not, however this is where the delays begin to factor in. With Pagos, Eureka will have essentially been hyped for over a year. If all they have to show for it are two glorified FATE/Hunt amalgamations and treasure bunnies, they deserve the backlash that will likely be forthcoming. That doesn't mean phase three couldn't pick things up, but I feel people have a right to be far less optimistic.Well I feel like Pagos is a filler chapter because it's skipping armor upgrades and we've had confirmation that armor will be back in part 3, in addition to part 3 bringing a new gameplay system which allows jobs to be played like a different role eg bard-tank.

My original guess was IL 365 for pagos weapons but it's ended up coming so late into the 4.3x cycle that I now feel it wouldn't even matter if they made them 370 with 5 slots. It would kind of invalidate some other stuff depending on how long the grind is, but everything that currently exists will be invalidated in September anyway when they add 380, 390, 400 and 405 weapons all at once. Well, more than that; presumably Suzaku extreme has weapons too (385?).
And that's a good point which people bring up about how unrewarding the reward system has begun to feel. After so many cycles of upgrading in the same way and becoming invalidated again fast, it seems like a significant amount of people have stopped caring so much about their loot, particularly the different currency grinds (capping tomes, hunting for centurio, etc). They had to give eurekean equipment 5 slots as a way to differentiate from other options but materia is overall a very marginal bonus which is trumped by Item Level (main stat) anyway, sooo... it all still fits into a clear IL pillar where one thing invalidates the rest and they have to stagger things out to make them at least somewhat relevant to non-raiders for a handful of weeks.
They could have changed the reward for one type of content to be accessories (which have fewer options than other types of equipment)... but I mean I don't think we too many weapons, I'd actually like there to be more options for all things. What can we do to make things feel worthwhile for more than just glamor beyond the point that something with a higher IL comes along? Well it's the vertical versus horizontal gearing discussion again; both systems have pros and cons.
I think the last Live Letter made mention of the armor continuing in the next zone. I hope so, my friends want to see this armor evolve and one makes jokes about WHM losing more and more clothing.
