SE how hard really is it to throw a low pop server into an high pop server like a normal server megre?

What you're doing now isnt a server megre and if i'm right most people were asking for a server merge so we could all keep our Linkshells friends.

Yea might be a great idea to meet new people but you're prob going to loose a lot of good friends you have meet over the last year.

SE Fix this, A lot of people on my server are talking about quiting them game now because ur making it worst ><

Let's just do a nomarl server merge like we requested.

People say they are going to quit whenever ANYTHING doesn't go there way, they are not quitting. However, I do agree with what you are saying and I think this is pretty dumb.

yea i no hope they don't i love my friend i made over the last year or so... and thanks i don't understand y they just do a normal server merge it be loads better.

Ok I'm confused. Why is this bad? Yes you have to repearl but so what? Most LSs ... a good 98% of them have outside websites so let your members know and repearl.

And besides, this actually is a good thing when you think about ALL the LSs that still have many dead players stuck in them do to no Admin tools. So the way the merge goes it band-aids THAT issue and fixes a population issue as well.

This is what I am worried about.

1) I don't understand why they don't just merge the smaller servers in with the more populated servers as you said.

2) We have about a week and a half to make the server changes, not everyone can hop on day one and do it. What if worlds get locked and some LS members can't get on it. Now all the other LS members have to move again, make the shell again, now what happened if in the process of doing that, that world gets locked. Now they have to move again, repearl AGAIN etc etc rinse dry and repeat until HOPEFULLY your whole LS gets on the same server?

This seems like a silly way to do server mergers, I mean they even handled FFXI's server mergers better. Come on SE..

Just take the top 5 full servers, then take the bottom 5 and merge them onto a fuller server.

Example (Because I don't know the pop of each server)::

Selbina (Low Pop) merges onto Wutai (High Pop) Selbina goes way and now everyone's on Wutai.

At least this way LS's and friends people have made stay together and we don't have to HOPE we all get on a server before it's full.

Making everyone move is just silly.

I think selbina and beside is the 2 biggest server atm. but i dont mind getting pulled out of my server into another 1 as long as everyone on my server came with me

That's why I said it was just an example, I don't know the server populations, I was just putting two names I knew out of the air to show what I meant.

What about those people who already have vacation planned for the beginning of March? Or even those who have rl issues pop up. Either way, a currently active paying player may get screwed just because they're unable to log in during that little time window.
