First off I'm very unhappy with this wold merge and even more so after reading the post of how it will be handled.
I would like a couple of questions answered regarding this.
  • Currently when more then 4 groups are standing together at ifrit or moogle ppl start red ringing left and right, characters don't spawn people are having trouble getting other ppl rezes because they don't spawn etc. etc. How is this going to be fixed with double the amount of players?

  • Same question for the instance servers, how will an increase of population be handle there? Because at this point we all know the horrible delays we are already experiencing at those above mentioned riads.

  • Will the market wards be linked before this merge? or is ul'dah going to lag even more now?


  • Most of us choose the server by name, because the name meant something to us and we liked it, is it set in stone that we only get to know were we move after we did it?


  • Why is the transfer set in such a short period of time? ppl that are not online during that 9 days (army, holiday, work) will just be automatically distributed across the Worlds??


  • So if for example husband and wife play together and come back from their holiday only to discover that they are just randomly tossed on different servers how will this be handled?


  • Groups of friends and linkshells obviously what to stay together before selecting a server will it show how many 'slots' are still open? Or do we have to keep repeating this transfer process until we find a server that we all are able to get in before it is full and locked?


  • All linkshells will be deleted, do we get more crest options before this? Since it is already very hard to get a unique ls crest.

Why don't you make a online server list that players can select and change around, so we can already see who choosers what and enables the people that are not online during that short period of time to log into their loadstone and set a server before randomly being distributed across the worlds.
