what is the difference if you guys know the names or not. For now they are numbered...if you want all your friends to come with you then pick a number and roll on it. How is this complicated? The server could be named ANYTHING or even NUMBERED...It makes no difference what it is called if you all roll on the same server.

Simple. It's because my server is a piece of my identity, as is my name, hometown, GC allegiance, and LS memberships. If Istory ended up in the top 10, I'd much rather end up back there than go anywhere else. That is why it's a big deal.

Just give us all new server names and don't hide them. That way we can still choose our servers by name and the balance won't be affected as it would by keeping existing names.

They do have names for you to choose new wold #1 - #10

No, the whole point of them naming them afterwoulds is to stop people picking the best named ones, this way everyone gets spread out evenly.

As we have said before, there is the nostalgia part, I joined Mysidia because of my love for FFIV, and if there was a server called Kain or Kain Highwind I would join that one straight away simply because of the nostalgia.

If you either didn't play previous FF games or dont have the love for it that others have it doesnt matter, this is important to alot of us long time FF fans.

Even though I think this will all work itself out in the end, I wouldn't mind knowing the server name in advance.

Yes if you are gonna keep the 10 most populated names show us so at least all of Besaid knows where to go!

I don't care if they keep the current server names or not (obviously they can't keep all of them), but I do agree they need to be revealed.

Lets face it, most people chose their server out of some personal attachment to the name from a previous FF, right? I admit, I did it.

So what happens if there is a server that is disproportionately popular? It's going to hit its cap quickly and some people will miss out on getting into that server.

One one the purposes of the server merge (its not even that anymore) is to even out the populations, I don;t think that can happen if the servers are labelled now.
