I am aware. The reasons for being against it are completely unfounded, irrational, or plain stupid. It's just another remnant of the "it wasn't in XI so we reject it" mentality. If XI had had region-based servers, we wouldn't even be having this conversation and you all know it. Common sense is taking a backseat to stubborness.

Yes I enjoyed FFXI. Yes I maybe played it too much. Yes I was possibly in love with it. I couldnt give a damn that FFXI had international servers so FFXIV should.

I hate regional servers, they are the worst idea in MMOs, they segrigate people who, for legitimate reasons, cant play during thier region's primetime.

This is from the guy that stayed up until 4am at events, then woke up at 7am for university and sometimes did not sleep because I was in an American linkshell.

If FFXI used regional servers I would never have met half my friends on FFXI. Regional servers should never be in MMOs, you dont wanna play with American's then dont. Lets say for example someone from America suddenly starts to suffer from insomnia, after having no sleeping disorders in thier lives because they had no problems they join a US server, thier sleeping paterns will make them play erratically, so why should they play on a dead server.

Regional servers even unofficial ones are illogical and just cause problems.
