    Two options.
One, use a glamour prism to make your current head piece look like it.
Two, throw it in the armoire and use the glamour dresser to add it to a glamour plate. Then you can apply the plate any time for free without use of prism.

Not the most straightforward, but not difficult once you've done it.

Glamour prisms are crafted(its like a level 30 recipe, craftable by any class except CUL if i remember right) and can be bought off the market board. If you put the mask in your armoire and then opened the glamour dresser to set it to a plate, you have to click a button on the interface to switch from dresser items to armoire items - it tracks them separately but you can mix and match them on a plate.

The recipe for the prism is available after you do a short quest in mor dhona(and maybe horizon in west thanalan also). There used to be seperate prisms for all the classes, but they simplified it with the last expansion so that each class has its own recipe but they all make the same generic prism that can be used for any glamour you need to set up. Even if you dont need it for the mask, look into it for future glamour needs.

As for BLM rotations, at 50 there isnt much to it. Single target is B3 T3 F3 F1(repeat until out of mana, use thundercloud and firestarter procs at will) B3 repeat. Multi-target(3+) fights is B3 T2 F3 F2 F2 F2 Flare(convert+flare and ether+flare optional) Transpose T2 F3(you dont wait for full mana, just hardcast F3 right after T2) and repeat from F2 forward. You can use TC procs more or less how you want here too, but if youre close to the end of the rotation its better to save so you can toss one out immediately after Transpose and not have to wait for the mana tick. It feels a little clunky until you get used to it(all those Flares, hardcasting F3 without the umbral 3 buff), but it puts out the most damage you can. As for how to set up those spells on a controller, i use a mouse and keyboard so i cant help you there.
