    Dualshock 4 and Xbox one Controller L2 not working?

    So it first started when i connected my Dualshock 4 via Bluetooth and it worked,all of the buttons worked but only L2 didn't worked,so then i changed back to my Xbox One controller and before it worked just fine,had no problems and now it's also not working with the L2 button. But yet in the game settings in the gamepad button assign,the L2 is assigned to highlight left hotbar which is what i wanted but is not responding at all.

    All other games works just fine with L2 button,it's only FF XIV that doesn't work. I've tried reinstalling the game and reseted both system and character config options back to default and it didn't solve the problem.

    i don't know what to do anymore. The only thing i can think of is that this is a possible bug in the game

    Good afternoon and thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

    You mentioned you are using Bluetooth to connect the controllers. Can you connect them with a USB cable? Does this have any effect on the issue?

    Are you using any other programs with the controller (using a Steam Configuration for example)?

    Do you recall anything else changing or updating on your PC when this started happening?

    Same issue

    Hey guys -

    Same thing happened to me 2 or 3 days ago and is still an issue.

    Xbox One Elite Controller, connected either via USB or Wireless (official Xbox Wireless for Windows 10 adapter).

    2 different machines - 1 custom built gaming rig, 1 Dell laptop.

    Left trigger was fine on both machines - then on the next login does not respond at all.

    Remapping it in game to another function (e.g. show map instead of show left hot bar) makes no odds - the L2 simply doesn't get recognised in game.

    Have tried running game directly, and via Steam, same issue.

    Controller works fine in all other games.

    No other installs/changes/patches on any either machine.

    Any help appreciated

    Does this same thing happen on any other controllers, or is that the only controller you have? When you ran the game through Steam, did you have any kind of controller configuration set up? If so, is is this Steam configuration always on, even if you aren't playing through the Steam launcher?

    There are a couple things I'd like to test out:

    First try a clean boot. Simply open the task manager and select the 'Start up' Tab. Disable everything here and restart the PC. This will make sure that no background processes are interfering with the game.

    Second, there is a Final Fantasy XIV folder in your 'My Documents' (My Documents > My Games > Final Fantasy XIV). Try deleting this folder. This is where your locally saved settings are stored so it will delete things like Gear Sets and Hot Bars, but if there is something in there that's causing this issue, then you may need to get rid of it. This folder is excluded when you reinstall the game so don't think you've already tried this step if you've already reinstalled.
