I do apologize for my "fictional back story" since clearly you have no sense of humor at all. Pretty sure the decision to change direction back to a normal server merger with transfers wasn't made because of any OP, but rather because of the overwhelming support for that option.

The last post on this thread before you was from 11 am, you hunted for it and revived the thread simply so you could flame me. You just wanted attention, admit it. This thread was buried, and irrelevant since Yoshida not only said they are going to base the merges off of option 2 (the exact option we all were advocating for before he even brought it up) but actually apologized.

First I would like to apologize that I have responded to you more than once as far as flaming goes. In that respect, your totally right, it was poor form, but its been tough keeping each and every post like this strait today. Second, sarcasm does not translate AT ALL in print, which may explain why people took your initial OP so seriously. Having read it more than a few times now, it does sound like your totally going off on the guy, as opposed to just poking fun. This may explain the number of people that have jumped on this post in opposition to what you have stated. Lastly, I never actually said which one of the options Yoshi was debating on I like best. Truth be told, I personally don't care. Each of them would have suited my personal needs, including option 4, which is why I wasnt hating on it.

If anything I never thought I would see the day that many people would rage out over being given the total freedom to go where ever they wanted as opposed to being forced to go somewhere. Lastly, you and everyone else have no idea what the minority or majority is because these forums are only a tiny fraction of the player base. The post itself isn't irrelivant because its still on the main tab on the official forum page without some edit by you saying "Never mind they are gonna give me what I want now"

I didn't put it on the front page. The OP was intentional however, it was meant to bring to attention how this issue (and others in the past) affects linkshells and communities. I don't feel a need to edit it, people simply should not be so quickly to jump all over anyone who lays out criticism.

Never once have I said this game was no good, or insulted anyone for playing it. I'm not here to troll, I just wanted to bring to attention how serious this issue was for me, and it is a serious issue for a lot of people. I guess I can't prove without a doubt that I am among the majority on this issue, however based on the forums across all languages and what polling has been done it would certainly seem that way. Also if you had seen Selbina's chat when the plan was initially announced there were a lot of people deeply concerned there too.

Maybe you don't care about our issue, or the people on your server even since it is so small and struggling that maybe most can't wait to get on it no matter what they have to sacrifice. Many of us had a serious problem with how they planned to do it though, and so we made our position. I laid out my reasoning throughout this thread and others while others only flamed me for having a disagreement with the announcement. Literally there were no arguments in favor of option 4 being posted until the next day when people came up with the idea that it would somehow lead to more balanced servers (which is silly frankly because that never happens during MMO's launches which uses the same system as "option 4"). If you read through the thread (which used to be several pages longer before the mods intervened) it was mostly people saying:

"This is set in stone, stop complaining!"

Which obviously wasn't the case.

Ya the problem is the OP is still harsh despite the change. You have not edited in a disclaimer and sarcasm doesn't go over well via text.

I don't need to flame you but if you get flamed you get flamed. I'd prefer people be reinforced to stray away from heated rhetoric than to look for excuses to hide behind sarcasm. You still have the power to represent yourself accurately in the OP and can include in the editing notes that you've changed it accordingly. Then the burden is on those who respond to the OP, but the change has yet to be made as of this writing.

I have since deleted that post, and again, no matter how I fealt about your initial post, your still entitled to it, and I am sorry I spoke to you in the manner I did. I should have better put together my response and not immediatly gotten personal.
