More than likely, if Viera became a thing in XIV, they'd take the Highlander or Elezen model (at least for females - probably do Midlander model for males if people would like the females taller), and slap on bunny ears and a cotton ball tail. They already said they would not do Viera-requests feet or hands because they don't want to go back and modify all existing gloves and shoes.

I personally would like more character customization for our existing races. Since 4.0 brought no new race and no updates. It made me sad.
