Where did I say there was over 500 posts of people disagreeing with it?
There were also TONS of posts from people that were fine with paying 13/mo (myself included) but we got a discount didn't we?

You didn't; you used the post count to give credence to the idea that this is a "big deal" to SE. Judging by your predisposition on the issue, I'd say the implication is obvious.
As I said before: A great deal of those posts are from people voicing positivity regarding the merges, or from people who don't care. It isn't a big deal to either of them. Inflating a thread (and as someone pointed out, probably a good portion of said posts are not from unique posters) does not necessarily imply that what people are talking about is a "big deal".

That's just how you took it then. I was just comparing this topic to the topic of billing a few months back. You didn't; you used the post count to give credence to the idea that this is a "big deal" to SE. Judging by your predisposition on the issue, I'd say the implication is obvious.

Also, if this wasn't a huge deal for SE right now, why the hell would Yoshi-P type a giant letter explaining the reasons behind his decisions not even 24 hours after the initial announcement. He's never responded to anything that quickly and with that much detail.
Don't kid yourself. This is a big deal for SE right now.

Really? I would disagree with that.
I'm fairly sure Yoshi-P's quick response was directly related to the massive increase in forum activity in the past 24 hours.
You're entitled to your own opinion, of course.
