I am perfectly fine with not knowing the new name of a server. Still a bit worried about how they are merging servers together though.

They said they will release the names of the servers after the transfer window has closed, so effectively punishing us, people currently playing cannot choose a server based on nostalgia, but new players when they open servers to a choice again will/

People feel passionate about something, lets remove the reason to be passionate and stick them with some random shit they don't want rather than what they want. I get the reasoning but its flawed, 1 and 2 gonna be a lottery folks, and its in direct opposition with everything I've known of this game in the last year. I am constantly defending this game to people and the one thing I could always rely on was a dev team that was sympathetic to the players and this has seriously ruined that in my eyes.

I just its baffling to me. Choose your Grand Company and nation based off what you love but SE knows best on this?

For those going its fine the way it is, would it really bother you if it said names? Really are you that concerned if a server is just slightly higher?

Again axel, is what you want to do in any way affected by those who want the name having it? 100 or 200 more people on one server than another- because thats certainly going to happen anyway.
