tackle box please.
tackle box please.
Tackle boxes will never happen. They've went over this plenty of times before.
They may have said no times before, but if the need is great enough we can change their minds! Remember all the currencies we had before that were taking up inventory slots?
Fisher's bait will only increase anyways. Make the solution happen sooner rather than later!
I'd like to see a lot of things. A few off the top of my head.
-Ability to mail anyone in your FC (or just anyone, the RMT thing doesn't happen in other games)
-Ingame personal parser (debatable I know, personal preference)
-Crafting from retainers inventory (make it so you need to be beside the bell if necessary)
-FC event calender. Seriously, why isn't this a thing?
-If you own a pet/mount/card, it will have an "already obtained" tag in your bags.
-Cards/minions on a personal loot system in alliance raids.
-Fully revamped Mount/Minion guide, larger window with an image of the mount/minion, search bar, verminion stats and so on. Collecting is a big part of the game, make it more attactive to view your collection.
-On that note, achievements with minion/mount rewards for collection breakpoints (such as "collect 20, 30, 50, 80, 100). TT does this. Make collecting a real, desirable goal.
-Flexible raid sizes. This would take development but would be well worth it and greatly encourage FC activity. Fine if it's not for Ultimate, due to balance.
-S Rank spawn alerts. Something like "you hear a mighty roar" when you spawn one.
Retainer glamor similar way to squadron glamor
Basically anything squadron related that could be applied for retainers.
It still amazes me that the content that we pay for monthly, and I'd argue most players access daily, gets less attention than some "new" content that, again, I'd argue that most players will only deal with so long as they need to for the GC rank.
I'd trade my squadron room for a retainer room in a heartbeat. I couldn't give the most fleeting of a rarab's toot about content with some pool of generic npc, that every player gets (the squadron npcs aren't unique to anyone), when the content related to the characters that I personalized and named myself, interact with on a daily basis, and I double my subscription for, get neglected.

I've always wanted these kind of changes for dungeons more than anything. There must be some kind of random element to keep people from going insane. I have a friend who is still leveling some jobs and asking me to help but it can feel depressing still repeating the old dungeons for 5+ years when it's the same every run.I can't understand why they don't apply the uznair/aquapolis or POTD/HoH formula to dungeons. They can implement rare monsters like those goblins or cyclops to the dungeons which reward players, they can implement random rooms that can have traps or some kinda boss or full of treasure chests etc. It would make things really interesting.
Or just put some random mechanics to the bosses. Like zurvan's icicle/tail mechanic or formation of those ice/fire nodes, or like sophia's balance mechanic. I don't say make it hard but not make it so scripted and we might expect a few diversity in mechanics.
But well, this game is like this for 5 years now (we might as well say 6, because it will go like this till 5.0 definitely), and if we say it is in the middle of its lifespan, i don't think SE cares to change the formulas they think it works well.
Same enemy types, placements, numbers; every turn is identical on your 500th run as it was on your 1st. The way treasure dungeons and deep dungeons randomise things is so much better than knowing for sure that room 1 will contain say exactly five wyverns every run forever and the treasure coffer will never have even a tiny chance of containing something special.
The dungeons are very pretty to look at but the gameplay is much too rigid for something that is supposed to be repeatable and farmable.
tackle box or we riot, enough saidotherwise all my bait fills one whole box of the inventory and if we get more it will will two inventory boxes, so tackle box please (yes i keep every bait you never know when you need it plus its better then running allll the way back for it)
They added a tacklebox, is called chocobo saddlebag, and you can store other things too.tackle box or we riot, enough saidotherwise all my bait fills one whole box of the inventory and if we get more it will will two inventory boxes, so tackle box please (yes i keep every bait you never know when you need it plus its better then running allll the way back for it)
Fishing is not a DoH. It's a DoL. Should compare apples to apples. With that said, I would LOVE a crafting material bank like GW2 has. They have some fantastic QoL items there. Inventory handling in this game is far from fantastic.Crafting classes don't get a special box to hold crafting items so I don't really see a reason why fishing characters should be treated differently. It makes no sense to give them extra space when every other class also has the same issues in terms of inventory space.
That sounds a lot like just adding storage for all characters and not a tackle box for anglers. Miners & Botanists have only two items to carry - their primary and secondary tools. Anglers get the primary and secondary tool, and then a crapload of bait on top of it.
Another thing about fishing: our fishing log is balls. Mining/Botany get a nice log, one that actually has a search feature, and shows all items and their zones (even if you haven't gathered it before). Fishing gets a log sans search feature, filled only with "undiscovered" if you've not run across a particular hole yet, with no information at all about fish until you've actually collected it.
With that right there, it would seem that either SE really hates fishing, or fishing was meant to be something you discovered out on your own, while you're cruising the various locations. 'It's the journey that matters, not the destination'. If the latter was indeed the intent, then it would make sense that we need to actively carry a ton of various bait on us as you'll never know what type of bait works in a particular fishing spot. And 5 years later, they're still just adding more and more bait options, but not providing an actual tackle box.
Maybe they do hate fishing after all.
