Why are healers more populated than tanks?

because a healer can borderline afk an entire dungeon and watch netflix while absentmindedly pressing cure 2 and nothing else and that's just apparently acceptable gameplay if you're a healer for some reason.
so obviously it's more popular than tanks, where you have to at least be playing the game once every few seconds.

HAHAHAHAHHAHAAHHA.....what?? sure in Savage it's more demanding but in 24-mans/8-man normal it's super easy & not demanding at all. Only time people die is when do dumb stuff like stand in several AOEs back to back other then those moments it's easy to heal in 24-mans, even more so if you're Alliance A or C since B is MT so as A/C healer you mainly just deeps occasionally put out a Party wide Regen & dps for rest of time.

4-man can be challenging because of things like yours/party Ilvl & how hard the dungeon is but if it's like current dungeon fairly easy run healing.

Tanks and dps are starting to watch netflix as well. I am seeing more and more people wipe in 24 mans and paying less attention in 4 mans and its not just healers.

Why isn't A MT? What makes B special?

Japanese server custom, B always main tanks, A always left, C always right.

In NA anyone can main tank and some people like to screw with the party's muscle memory by switching waymarks around and making A middle or something like that.

Mostly because of aoe tanking in dungeons I think. The tank feel kind of meh with big pulls, as their aoe abilities fell a little janky and more than 6 mobs makes for an awkward dance dodging aoes. They seem better tuned for bosses and pulls of four or less imo. They are actually the easiest classes to play in this game overall imo, its just the dungeon part makes people not like them.

I disagree here. Healers main job is fixing people's mess ups (nicely put). And in this game people mess up a LOT because their's not much punishment for messing up that can't be easily fixed.

I can respect that opinion. The reason I put tanks higher than healers for responsibility is because they are in the leadership position. The group looks to them to set the pace, know the mechanics, and be able to judge their own limits and their healers as far as how aggressively they can pull.
