The same German/French players that are complaining and trying to boycott World 10? Please.Originally Posted by Naoki_Yoshida

Also, we believed it was too forceful to merge the Worlds based on population as it might also cause a lot of stress for the destination World. Overall, this would be the safest way to go.
If this really was the most cost effective and easy to implement, why not go with it instead? Or why not go with a poll between these 4 options if you really are so hell bent on helping your customers? Saying you can't ask something like this with a survery is absolute bollocks.
"I don't want to break up the community or bonds with friends so I'll go ahead with the only option that does just that".
Genius!
IMO, option 1 is the best option. German/French players already have niche groups within their individual servers and if they do not, give them the option to move.I think Yoshi underestimated the complex structure of the community.
He's basically asking for 18 spider webs to be dissected and reconstructed into 10 new and effective ones.
Webs don't work that way, and we shouldn't have to completely reorganize our social structure like that.
Simply looking at other MMO's, you'd see that this simply doesn't happen. It's like they're developing in their own isolated world, and while I'm sure that has it's advantages, looking at MMO history shows us that his concerns over options 1-3 are mostly unwarranted, due to the fact that they happen with little to no trouble.
If this is mostly a concern over European players, you can still have a recommended European server along with options 1-3.
At this point, I think server recommendations list would be the best route to keep people on both sides content.
Essentially, keep all the world communities intact, but let the outcasts move.
you know what?, people begged and pleaded for this now people shouldn't cry about it.
should of learned to used the search function, people this forum even said "why should it use it." i bet money people will still cry about not able to find a party post merge. then theres gonna be another problem for them to whine about.
Should have chosen Option 2.
You would have had less issues with your plan.
It would have definitely been "viable for French and German speakers if you designate one server as their preferred after the merger and let them migrate.
Honestly, can't you figure out how many customers you have in Germany, France and Canada or who have their language set accordingly?

"If you want something, don't ask for it. Go out and win it, do that and you will succeed!"
That would be too mainstream bro. SE is an avant-garde company always trying to come up with the greatest new ideas and innovations in order to push the industry forward, you can't just have them wiggly waggling servers like every other game does.
I support the YoshiP. To all the babies on the forum, grow up and deal or gtfo.
