Well, because for starters, it cost about 10per month to have an active subscription. Which really, isn't a lot of money in the scheme of things. And while yes, people have legit reasons for currently choosing not to play the game, many of those same people wouldn't call the cable company and cancel their cable or internet because they are out of town for a month or two...they'd pay for it and move on.

Secondly, my hubby and his best friend use to play ffxi together. They knew each others passwords/account info and helped each other out occasionally. Like we paid his subscription for a couple months when he was between jobs etc. So if the issue is, they they ARE playing but out of town that week, maybe they can have a friend,loved one, neighbor, etc. do the dirty work for them. I mean, a little Real Life problem solving goes a long way. SE can't possibly be expected to make it perfect for everyone

I was trying to say that my absent friends have an active, paid-for account. Not cancelled.

As for secondly, these are people I've grown close to in game. Not close enough where they'd just up and give me their full account info.

Even then, I still care that we'd be able to continue playing together...

I think they should specify what timezone as in World 1 (Eastern), World 2 (Western). I would hate to go to a server and find out all gamers on that server are from the other side of the world.

SE never like the timezone thing the reason they allow jp,eu and na to play together is so they people at any giving hour. Even if people think they can't get party with jp does not mean other can't i got many jp party and that the hour i on most of the time during jp hour so i think it best if it not a timezone thing.

No time zones, they are international servers, and always should be. Whatever server you go on you will have people to play at all times.

If there is gamers 24/7 on that server that is the best way but let's be real how many people log on at different times and they can't party because everyone is asleep/working.

If there are people on 24/7 like on my server before in FFXI that is awesome but that is not the case most of the time. Either way I am sticking around and looking forward to all the updates and 2.0

People are on every time I log on, in the morning (GMT) if I spoke Japanese I could get a Japanese party, infact I have before now. Later on I can get EU parties and at night I can get NA parties.

Perhaps selb is just a bad server for international players

I dont want it to turn into that, but if you only have people on at certain times it may not be an international server.

Nope i get JP party all the time it's fine here that why i don't agree with timezone.
