IMO it's a vocal minority. My evidence is purely anecdotal, but it seems like most folks on my server are ok with the idea. I'm actually thrilled with it.Every time I check the new posts on the forums I'm shocked once more by the sheer level of QQ
Personally, I think that this was the best way to handle a merge. That doesn't mean that I like the merge, but I know that it needs to be done.
I'm slightly saddened at the thought of not seeing certain groups of people in game anymore, but also excited to meet new players and be part of a more active server. My closer in-game friends/LS are going to negotiate a common sever so that we can stay together. Any people I know who are 'waiting for 2.0' will have the option to transfer servers at a later date even if they end up separated initially.
I don't know why there are 5 billion threads QQing about this. Take a moment and step back from your computer screen, things are going to be just fine.
