Heck, I' just be happy with a recomended server list. That wouldn't require any revised server structure or anything like that.

This is what I was thinking. Let every still have a choice when they log in on the 1st but post a message when they log in to check lodestone for recommended servers. Who plays this game and doesn't check lodestone even if they don't on go on these crazy forums

To the people saying they only listen to the JP population, most of us here in the English forum were asking for #2 long before Yoshida even made the post outlining the different options.

Merge->Transfers is obviously the best choice to give everyone what they want. Said it a dozen times.

Glad that the dev team actually listened to the outrage the change caused, and even went as far as apologizing for not seeing how much of a problem it would be. I guess there was no point in acting like a sycophant.

This reinforces my belief that they might want to delay the merge until April. It will give them time determine how many returning people plan to stay because of Ver 1.21. This could change server demographics and needs to be evaluated. Anyone not here after 04/01/2012 probably will not return til Ver 2.0 9 months away. Secondly it gives them time to compile and evaluate all the feedback including those of returning players and incorporate this into their decision making process.

I agree with this, I know some people on small servers are anxious but we are only going to get one chance before 2.0 probably. I'd rather they got distribution right.
