This one is pretty important announcement/update from YoshiP regarding server merge so going to translate this one before I start work for you guys, pretty sure Bay & Rikku will post translated one for sure.

全リージョンの関連するスレッドにも目を通させて頂いています。
今回の件については、コミュニティ全体に対して、非常に大きな動揺を与えてしまい、申し訳なく思っています。

I have looked through related threads in all region; I apologize for causing a major stir to the community with this issue.

現状、開発/運営チームでは、非常にフィードバックの多い②案を更に調整し、
④案のメリットも生かしたものにできないか、
皆さんのフィードバックを参考にさせて頂きつつ、検討を重ねています。
技術的な確認事項、スケジュールの確認もあるため、恐縮ではありますが、
このまま週末に突入し、週明けまでお時間を頂けると助かります。
We are currently looking into making it possible to go by plan #2 which received many feadbacks and keep the merit from plan number 4. We need to check and verify the technical side and schedule so please give us until beginning of next week.

トピックスについては、一時取り下げも検討しましたが、
仕様が見えなくなると、話し合いの際に、内容齟齬の可能性があるため、
少なくとも週明けまでは、このままとさせていただきます。
We thought of bringing down the topic on the topics section but if we take it down when people talk about this there might be issue where wrong information is given so we would like to keep it at least till beginning of next week.

This is repeating what was mentioned before but at current timing there are few saying we are forcing this server merge but please understand that we are not.

Regarding server merge - have it where they give us info on how many people are planned on going into each server.

もうひとつ、できるなら上限の予定数も発表して欲しいです。
多いなら多いで焦らずに済みます。そんなに少ない上限数ではないと思っています。
If possible would like to announce the planned max number (# of players on each server)

はい、その予定でしたし、数時間おきに各ワールド希望者の人数は更新してお知らせする仕組みを開発中でした。 これは案②を選択したとしても、同様にするつもりです。
Yes this was already planned, we were developing a function where we announce how many players were requesting for each world every few hours. Even if plan 2 was used we were planning to do this.

There is some user posts after also asking for devs to make it so they can also display how many players are in the servers from each region as well - no response on this one yet though.

I am very pleased that Square Enix has made this announcement. It actually renews my faith in humanity that the voice of the people can actually make a difference. Evn though this is just about an MMO people do care.

My immediate reaction when I first read about the four plans was "why didn't they choose option2" It was the best way to keep everyone together while still allowing people the choice to do what they want, don't know why he didn't decide this one to begin with.

I love how this new dev team actually pays attention to the community response. I have a feeling they annouced the merge so far in advance for this very reasons. Maybe SE is getting their PR act together?
