So like all the server noobs that you LOL at every time they run buy in town will now be on another server and you have to relearn every acquaintance. Strong LS bonds will stay but every guy you kind of like from that party you had with him at level 30 and then that 1 time you did ifrit together and he didnt suck...well no more of those casual bonds. LS group or nothing! I pity people who play casually.
How are you losing friends? As a customer since CE and a paying customer since P2P, they need to step up there customer service, this is bull and the people who are for it, mustn't see the other side that others are speaking from...
and yes we do have time to prepare, why should we tho? we have our damn community.. we all would love a merger, but at the expense of possibly losing friends is pretty lackluster specially since our *Bond* with community is so important, but they are all for easily tearing our community apart.. F That!!
If you didn't talk to them and plan to regroup then how good of friends were you in the first place?
I think ppl are confusing "acquaintance" with "friends that legitimately care"
Acquaintances can easily turn into a friendship.. or am I mistaken???
There are 4 community servers forums for each world I think and most people don't read them.

i think everyone is taking this too serious, just talk to your friends, go to the same place and if you cant, make new friends.
problem solved
And you know and need all 200 of those ppl? Are YOU serious? What are you compensating for?
List every single 200 names in this thread: first and last name
You won't because like many others you're over exaggerating this entire thing
Everyone read please.
Yoshida didn't care for ppl that maybe wish to come for 1.22 as example... My case: i have a lot of friends that left FF14 for SW.. What about if they get tired of SW and want come back to FF in a couple of months? They probably dont even know that server merge is going to happen... So if they miss the opportunity to move in the limited time, They have to wait the 2.0 ...? They want give as second chance to the game, but they can't play with their old friends cuz they'll be sended on random servers...?
Are all crazy in SE ?
They simply trow away possibly returning customer until 2.0 ? Is this all the care that they can give to customers? People that don't assidly follow the game/forum atm, but that want to came back a bit after 1.21 , are simply not even considered..! End of the story...
Bah i hope that they pick option 1 or 2 ...
I don't see where they specified the manner in which the feedback is given. But I would like to know how someone could do a better server merger. Like Yoshi mentioned: Each option has pros and cons.
What I see right now is: "OMG all my friends are scattering" right beside the posts that say "OMG everyone is sticking together anyway." Some people will stick and some people will drift off. There are some players who will have to pick which friends they like the most because their friends are splitting up on different servers.
But that's their choice. Everyone here has a choice. Yoship even made sure that the non-subscribers will have a choice to move in 2.0. So if you don't like where people are going during the merge, take it up with them, not Yoshi.
I like Option 1!
