Token Item Refund System Suggestion

I am not sure if this is the right place to post feedback/suggestion. But I cant find a sub-forum designated for this purpose. So I will just post here.

It seems few people suggests such a system but not a few people have encountered such problems before: you bought something off by tokens ie. tomestones scripts... But then realise you bought the wrong item or duplicate that you dont need.

Right now, the only way to refund is to contact CS team, and you only get one refund ever in your whole FFXIV life.

I reeaally think this is not efficient nor fair to players.

Why cant we have a system that all things you bought through token, you can always refund them within a certain amount of in-game time after purchasing. After that timer, you will not be able to refund.

For example, in another MMO, they implemented a refund timer, everything that has to be purchased via tokens has a 2 hours timer after purchasing. Within that 2 hours window, you can refund the item for the tokens you spent should you find that was a mistaken buy. In the meantime, you cannot trade this item to anyone else in game or sell it to a normal npc vendor, all you can do is refund to the token vendor for the amount of token you spent for it within the given window.

Most of the token items are unique/unsellable/untradable anyway in FFXIV. So I think a similar system should work well in FFXIV.

I really hope to see a similar system implemented in FFXIV. I mean its not a big deal perhaps...we can just ditch whatever we bought wrongly. But it is quite annoying and to acquire those tokens we normally need to spend a lot of time...As for now, we can only swallow the mistakes we made. But we are human beings, and we always make mistakes...so why cant we have a second chance to choose what we actually wanted to buy with our tokens earned by hard labour in game? To correct the mistake? I mean even FFXIV got its second chance, didnt it? :P

Addition: add a spiritbond check. Items that are used for ANYTHING, even glamour and Fashion Report, get a minimum of 1% spirit-bond. If you used it, it wasn't an accidental buy.

Right, you are absolutely right. I forgot to mention, the item should be permanently bound to player if it was used in engaging activities such as fashion report and in this case timer should expire despite how much remaining time there is.

I agree on this, I've once made a mistake by buying the wrong mendacity gear and I had to wait another week before I could acquire the item that I needed. Had this system been in place, it would have prevented me a lot of time backtracking. I do hope the devs will pick up on this.
