What's Eureka and what do I do with it?

Hello everyone...

After my previous thread, I decided that this will be the path I shall take: Get the class quest gear that's IL 290 and work on getting it upgraded to IL 350.

I understand "Eureka", whatever it is, will be involved. The following is my question.

What the heck is Eureka and what do I do with it to get my beginner gear upgraded to IL 350?

Please be as detailed as you can. This is my first time hitting max level in any MMO.

Eureka is basically an open world instanced dungeon (finally!), in which the mobs are all out to eat your face. You will need to first of all obtain a Protean Crystal (you obtain this by killing mobs, it's RNG based though, getting a chain kill of enemies does help. Do note that killing enemies below your level will result in no chain being granted, and no chance at a protean crystal).

Once you have this, you then talk to Krile again and hand it in. At this point you will then be able to convert Anemos Crystals (earned from FATEs/NMs/whatever we call them) to Protean Crystals by speaking with Gerolt. You will need to use Protean Crystals for everything except the final Anemos stage (i355 weapon/shield, i350 armour). For the final stage, for your armour you'll need to use Anemos Crystals, for the weapon/shield you'll need Pazuzu Feathers, obtained at level 19 and 20, from the Pazuzu FATE. Be advised you can lose levels from dying (this is negated if you are resurrected).

Grats on reaching endgame. Unlock Eureka via a quest at Rhalgr's Reach, then it is accessible via boat from Kugane. You can drop out of Eureka at any time and your progress in that zone is saved. It has an independent leveling system so your first goal is just farming enemies to increase your elemental level; you can worry about getting gear upgrades later after you're done with leveling up. When you are high level, your primary way of farming crystals is by participating in NM battles (looks like FATEs, highlighted on map). If you've been completing quests given by Krile then you will be able to access a menu at Gerolt who allows you to exchange crystals for the armor and weapon upgrades that you want. That's the nutshell.
