If we are to take this as true confirmation that primal summonings are what caused the aether deficit in the Burn, that would certainly lend credence to the Ascians having been involved. It would not surprise me in the least if they provided the knowledge and means to summon primals to those who once inhabited the Burn , much like they have been working on recently. Perhaps what happened at the Burn was one of the Ascians' "success stories".
