Does SE conside add "quick step" to spice up the combat ?

I think it ll be cool if the character movement in combat can help the character to advoide an incoming attack from mobs or other player by do a quick step left/right or forward/backward.

To do this it will required the character to have movement like while in lockon (can be manual active or whenever player target a mobs/player it will be automatic lockon).

A skill can add that required player to active the skill and then press the direction on D-pads or WASD in order to do a quick step

You can already avoid attacks in this manner.

I do it all the time on my Pugilist when I solo.

When the mob is charging an attack I'll unlock my target, run through the mob, buff with blindside, then use a weaponskill. This works very well on Pterocs.

It would be nice though if we could tap a directional key twice to have our characters do a juke or sidestep though instead of having to clip through mobs.

you completely ,miss the point. The point is not to advoide while the attack preparing but to advoide when the attack release

Lag between our client and the server keeps that from being possible.

What you're describing belongs in a single-player game IMHO.
    Call me draconian.

    You are draconian.

But yeah. Server prevents this. Maybe be in 2.0.

I know TERA does this, but it was implemented to be like that from the start being a hackandslash.

We have it to a degree when fighting ifrit, we have to move out of the way of the cracks and blooms and also his charge attacks

Lol... reminds me of what i tried doing the first few mobs i fought in ffxi. Tried to run around to avoid being infront of them and getting attacked but still got hit.

But its true, you won't see anything like that in a MMO. Unless its years down the road with everyone on latency connections (still unlikely).

well, ppl are to quick replly Ic:

I forgot to add that the "quick-step" I mention can also use to quickly position yourself to the back or side of mobs when do combo. Afaik, atm if a melee want to combo a mobs as front to side when solo, the thing player can do is use the first skill in combo chain at front, wait for the mobs attack, right after it attack the player can move to back or side and finish the combo. Think about when a player do combo and need to move to side or back, the player can use the "skill" and move to the positon, while the mobs ll continues it s desire attack w/o change it direction toward player and then attack (if you notice you can see this clearly in-game while combat, and FFXIV have "heat-seeker")

With the "quick-step", I want the player can do combo w/o all that trouble and bring a connect to the combo chain, and can use to quicly advoide a incoming skill that had already release, and it will be handy for mid and low size mobs/boss fight & the upcomming pvp

@Bongeh1986: no, this "skill" is completely useless vs big boss primal like ifrit, but it work vs moggle & it is mainly design for pvp and normal mobs when solo or pt

@Issac: it doesnt belong to any, it is a something every game can have

Some mobs allow it, some mobs don't.

Efts, for example, will not turn if you run around them (until they use a weaponskill) so you can combo with relative ease.

As for this 'quick-step' busniess... If running around behind a Puk to avoid Tail Smack (or whatever it's called) doesn't classify as that, then I don't understand what you're asking for. Your English seems to be sketchy at best, so I think something's getting lost in translation here...
