I'm pretty sure the bots are set up if items go below a certain price, they buy the item and relist for a profit.
That is a good way to lose a lot of money. Players that bot have enough resources to win any bidding war, but they do not have a need to since they could simply buy out the product and since a normal player will not be able to match their production they reap all the benefits of the person undercutting them after a certain threshold is reached.
GM responses to players seem to be very "personalized". I have no idea if it just has to do with what GM you're talking to and what sort of mood they're in or if they look at other factors with how they respond. Whatever the case may be, you definitely see them telling different players totally different things. So, I wouldn't take a copy-paste of what a gm said to one person, or the parroting of posters on here and reddit, as being absolute "SE-policy"
You know, I bet this sort of thing will pale in comparison to what we'd see from the mobile-app if it doesnt cap the number of transactions-per-day or whatever. I promise that someone will reverse engineer that thing into an offline AH bot 5 minutes after it gets released xP
When suspending or banning accounts there is a lot of investigations that need to have something called concrete proof to prevent law suits. While it seems it is not effective it just happens when people least expected. Boom your account is no more.
Think they ban accounts in (mass) waves.
Lawsuits from what? The ToS specifically states:SQUARE ENIX MAY SUSPEND, TERMINATE, MODIFY, OR DELETE FFXIV SERVICE ACCOUNTS, CHARACTERS, VIRTUAL GOODS, OR THE SERVICE ALTOGETHER, AT ANY TIME FOR ANY REASON OR FOR NO REASON, WITH OR WITHOUT NOTICE OR LIABILITY TO YOU.
TOS can still be put into question as a unjust termination. When brought up yes they have that disclaimer, however being it is a internet based service company must still have some kind of proof if enough people have an issue. Depending on region certain claims may be brought into question. Example Known companies like Netflix, Hulu, have terms of service where recurring charges are applied until canceled, even though method of payment cards may be experienced some Financial institution will keep allowing transactions. Same thing, businesses have disclose information yet can be taken and questioned. Simple business precautions. Why do you think there are LLC's? They have contracts and can still be questioned. As part of consumer law, any consumer can request some sort evidence for a companies actions against them.Lawsuits from what? The ToS specifically states:
I own 4 accounts pay 4 subs, made my own fc by myself creating airships and submersibles and progressing myself and going to own 8 mansions and ect. Is it going to rub ppl the wrong way yep, am I going to dominate the mb yep is it unfair nope against tos nope. Like on player stated if he or she is doing as I it's not cheating unless proof can be shown that players likes are actually cheating. I have 3 laptops and ps4 that I use on ffxiv
