    Stoneskin II?

    Is it Crazy to ask for “Stoneskin II” to make a return and lock it to WHM

    Cast: Instant Recast: 180 sec MP Cost: 2200 Radius: 15y
    Still creates a barrier around self and all party members near the healer that absorbs damage totaling 15% of maximum HP. Will be able to use this in combat. Duration 45 sec

    If they want they can tie it to the lilies, only able to cast when 3 lilies have been gathered, or each lily lowers 10 sec off the recast time. I really do wish they can stop taking away from jobs, if they had it keep it and rework it. AST is Perfect and Fun, SCH is Fun but lacks updated Fairy Skills ”I miss Whispering Dawn working with Rouse” Whm is cool but missing iconic Support Abilities and damage spells Shell, Stoneskin, Wall, Haste, water spells, banish etc.... Give the white mage ways to increase party defense magical and physical and make it the SAM of the healers, AST has Cards, SCH is the tactician so increasing people Attributes should be key.

    If you were going to bring back Stoneskin II, why are you proposing to lock it behind both a 3-minute cooldown and an MP cost that’s greater than Medica II/Succor/Aspected Helios? Just curious, because there isn’t a single oGCD in this game that costs resources while being on a super long cooldown like that, I don’t believe.

    i went the route of having both the cost and cooldown, because the barrier cast isnt a 10% but 15% mitigation tool. I was going to say 25% barrier, but in hindsight, I think I get tired of seeing OP this and OP that, I dont believe any job would ever be OP. You either have the skill to carrier out the task or you don't, i never understood the PLD "Holy Spirit"nerf, the NIN nerf in 4.1 to one of its combo or the SMN dreadwyrm trance "Tri-bind" nerf. People would probably say WAR back in 3.0 was OP because of the MANMODE completions of raid content, but only a small few who have chemistry could only pull off the task.

    It’s my personal opinion that locking just a 15% barrier behind both a fairly high MP cost and a fairly long cooldown is a bit too excessive. 180 seconds as a cooldown would be more than enough for a party-wide shield every three minutes — it would make it almost similar to a BRD’s Mage’s Troubadour, which increases maximum HP by 15% for 30 seconds, and is locked only behind an 180-second cooldown (and being in Mage’s Ballad, of course). Mage’s Troubadour is a bit different from a shield, but they’re both 15% HP buffers.

    Granted, this would see more usage than Mage’s Troubadour; the Troubadour most favored in current Savage/Ultimate content is Minuet’s Troubadour because of all the magical damage.

    make sense. maybe we can get Wall, Shell, and Stoneskin that has special attributes to them, Wall could be the first double shield in the game 10% mitigation and once its gone a second shields appears with 5% mitigation. Shell could be a magical shield that once hit a regen is applied probably could save a few souls who suffer damage but is out of reach from the healer due to dodging a mechanic.

    i think thats the problem we will run too having skills that act alike but is much better than the original, SE better come up with some properties boss have that we could control alittle. or add in another attribute to the 1 or 2 other jobs we will get next year and hopefully its not as crap as Tenacity.
