    BLM Rotations?

I was looking for rotations on youtube to try to learn BLM and came across both of these. http://ffxivrotations.com/1hke
    http://ffxivrotations.com/1bpy
One is considerably longer. Can someone please tell me

    1) Are these still current rotations to learn?
    2) What would be the different situations to have for these very different rotations?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks a lot

One is just the opener, the other has a load of filler.

This is the opener I use: http://ffxivrotations.com/1o7g

this is the opener i use for pretty much every fight:

    standard rotation after:

for sharp and triple up at the same time in base rotation, you can toss in a flare for extra damage. extremely potent for any fights that have 2-3 targets, but also a gain on single target:

AOE (pretty much never use f2, ever):

in general though, save your swiftcast for emergencies. swiftcast is your comfort cool down.

    As a side note,
hese kind of opener also assume you won't be moving (which is usually the case)
If you're doing a fight where there are high chance you'll be moving in the first minute, you might want to hold on triple cast and swift cast.

Triplecast + fire IV only make you save the tiny bit of extra cast time vs the GCD. (not even 1sec in the end).

If you know you might be moving, hold it. You'll save more dps by being able to cast a sibgle fire IV while moving than 3 fire4 while standing.

triple cast on opener is for weaving ogcd's without clipping into your gcd time and losing a lot of time, like potions, and leylines. If you think you'll need to move on your opener, simply do b3>eno>t3>b4>f3>triple>f4>sharp>f4>f4>convert>f4>f1>f4>f4>f4>f4, utilizing that fire 3 proc to move. I don't believe there's any fight that will really force you to move before you get your f3p in that rotation. You can also sub in the f1 after the 3rd f4 to get the f3p one gcd earlier if its really needed, but again it really shouldn't be.

if you aren't weaving your leylines and potion, you essentially lost 1.5-2 seconds of casting time, which in your fire phase is about the equivalent of losing 350-450 potency. Blm is much different than other jobs that can get away with taking the easier way out on rotations. Every mistake on a blm rotation is about equivalent to 12 mistakes on a smn rotation for potency loss.

It's a lot more forgiving if you need to move a little, & doesn't require as much spell speed. If I get a thundercloud, I throw it after my fire 1. I then settle into the base rotation, & repeat the opener order every 3rd fire phase when ley lines & addle return.

Depending on the boss, this can be useful, but addle is often best used for a mechanic that hits hard, and that's not always that early.
