Speedruns of HoH and kicking people

Then don’t complain when you get removed from the party and/or subsequently reported. Your actions described here are easily considered griefing.

I thought there were only 2 npcs for HoH to trade stuff but I guess I'll look again.

There are 3 total NPCs for HoH:

Kyusei — You speak with him to enter HoH, or reset your progress.
Confederate Appraiser — You speak with her to appraise pieces of the Accursed Hoard.
Confederate Custodian — You speak with her to exchange aetherpool points for Grips, exchange Empyrean Potsherds for goodies, and to exchange the Empyrean Tomestones for the Floor 100 rewards.

At the end of the day I just don't feel like chasing chests and hoards. If it did give some form of bonus exp then maybe, otherwise nope.

Which is fine. But some people do want to chase chests and hoards. Trolling by wasting pomanders/Magicite because they don’t share the same goals as you is completely uncalled for. Like I said before, majority rules in HoH just like it did in PotD. Which, on Cactuar anyways before PotD was cross-server PF compatible, players that wanted to do speed runs of PotD 51-60 for experience typically set up Party Finders for it to ensure that they got like-minded individuals. Maybe you should try that if you don’t want to deal with the “majority rules” in DF, because you can’t guarantee you’ll only get speedrunners for HoH 21-30.

Thank you for telling me the names of the npcs, I finally found the third one just now. It's a different system from palace of the dead because back then I think you had to get the weapon points to 50 and then trade it but here it's completely different and looks like it takes even longer than before. Next time I'll try out party finder because 10 minute runs>20 minute runs. You do you, and I do me.

Original PotD was +30/+30 for a Padjali weapon, and then +60/+60 for Kinna weapons. So essentially +90/+90. The Empyrean ones take +100/+100, if I remember correctly. Someone who is pursuing them can confirm, as I haven’t traded in any for the weapons because I don’t need them. I think the Empyrean actually take less time thanks to the aetherpool upgrades being mandatory, and the lower floors seem to always have an abundance of silver coffers compared to how PotD originally was.

Do know that PotD has been changed to conform to the new aetherpool system, I believe.

I think this thread is pretty much open and shut. You clearly only care about yourself and have no problem trolling if 3/4 the people don’t play the same way you do.

You were the minority in your party and your in the minority in your own thread. You do realize it’s not a single player game right?

Honestly I’m glad they not only kicked you but waited until the last possible second.

If you want to speed run that’s fine but get 3 others who want to do the same thing, don’t take it out on people who actually want to play the game

Lol all I can say to you is good luck trying to grind for your weapon. And if your intention is to go after chests, do everyone a favor and say that at the beginning so people know. And honestly tbh some of the people chasing chests that end up setting off traps and nearly wiping the run also should be kicked but that's just my opinion.

You chase chests and hoards if that’s what the majority of the party want to do. Either that or you build your own party or learn to deal with kicks and not come to the forums complaining about it. If you start spamming pomanders and showing out I’d report you.

We literally have a thread where people post about their experiences in dungeons that has over 1000 pages the last time I checked and I'm just here giving my opinion here like they do. Again have fun with your chests if that's what you want but the reality is you can't force me or any other people there for exp to chase chests if we don't want to. Chill out

HOH is still new content and people still need to level up their aetherpool gear which requires silver chests. Consider also that with the aetherpool grips, there is an ongoing need to re level aetherpool weapons which creates need for silver chest farming. Potsherds are also needed for further rewards and often used on regen potions so people farm those too.

Expecting people to speed run and waste silver chests is unrealistic when you think about how people are still farming the dungeon for rewards and chest drops like glams and dodo mounts. Waiting in the teleport while everyone does all the work, is actually slower than running to check for a chest and or helping kill the mobs in those extra rooms. Sitting at the teleport gets you kicked because people tend to get bothered by people intentionally afk mooching off their work while doing none themselves.

Best way to speedrun is to preform a party and /or pug. State specific rules inside the pfinder msg. If you want to black list, right click on that player's name in "Contacts" menu, which shows a list of the last people you partied with.

Somehow, your opinion is special enough to warrant its own thread, instead of posting it in that "experiences in dungeons that has over 1000 pages" thread?

And you're right, we can't force you to do anything, but the majority can force you out of a dungeon if you're griefing/afking.

Thanks for responding guys, I didn't expect this many replies so I'll try to summarize:

Honestly I wasn't really trying to troll anyone by staying in the portal, though tbh I'm kinda tempted to spam emotes/pomanders/magicite next time around while I wait. I agree with one of the posts that it would be so much better if we got more exp for killing more mobs like a normal dungeon, otherwise I don't see the point. I run HoH/PotD because its just faster. Also there's a boost to the weapon and armor each time you finish the boss room so I don't bother chasing after extra chests after the portal opens. Next time I hope they at least respond instead of not saying anything because I'm not a mind reader. If it bothered them that much they should have said something. At the end of the day I'm just there for speed and if they want to go for chests that's on them.

If you don't want to work as part of a team why don't you just run it solo?
