Well.... then... I should be arrested for "murdering" mobs in game....
I don't think gambling laws apply here since we're not exchanging real money...
Just my 2 cents...

It actually doesn't have to be an opinion that it shouldn't fall under gambling legislation. It just simply doesn't. As long as you don't bet anything that has real currency value (like RL money, or chips that you trade in for RL money, a wristwatch, or a car or w/e item that is worth money), it doesn't fall under any gambling legislation.
One could argue RMT's and ebay can set prices on virtual currency or virtual property, but since this is not sanctioned or allowed by SE through their terms of service, that's a black market. Not falling under any customer protection laws either. Thus gambling for gils or items, even between players, would be legal and not subject to any gambling laws. If SE allowed you to buy gils or items for real money, then it'd be a different story. But since they aren't...![]()
