    I have always wanted to revamp healing in MMO's. It always seems so much more bland than the fighting classes. I imagine healing for this class to be exactly like melee dps. Melee range healer, no spells, combos like melee, fast action spamming, healing "skills" and all done on a target in melee range. Much like a DPS tries to reduce the monster's HP to 0, a mender is doing just the opposite on their target, quickly.

    -"Mender" as I call it is a bit stronger at single target healing because it has to be in melee range of its target to "mend" it, but lacks all range and aoe healing. Mender has good defense and skills to reduce damage taken because it finds itself in the thick of battle often healing the fighters in the thick of the battle.

    -Skills from mender take very little or no cast time and have very little to no recast time. This keeps Mender moving, mending, and busy using actions quickly and in the middle of combat.

    -A Menders strength is remaining on a single target (remaining focused, it gets distracted easily), if a Mender loses its focus and its target is lost, so are many of the added effects of the skills it uses:

    Mender

    Bandage: A light heal on your target.

    Calm: Clears your targets mind and increases the amount mended by your next mend.

    Strong Wrap: Mend's a target with an ongoing effect of added defense and regen for 10 seconds. This fades if the target is lost.

    Hustle: Increases the Mender's movement speed by 25% as long as the current target is selected. (this is used because Mender needs to be in melee range, within 5 yards, to heal a target)

    Tend: A medium heal on your target, combos from Bandage.

    Ironskin: increases the DEF of the Mender and it's target, until the target is lost. (If the Target is hostile, it reduces the targets DEF instead)

    Ironmind: Increases the magic DEF of the Mender and it's target, until the target is lost. (If the Target is hostile, it reduces the targets magic DEF instead)

    Mental Agility: Raise the Evasion of the Mender and it's target, until the target is lost. (If the Target is hostile, it reduces the targets EVA instead)

    Bedrest: Puts a target to sleep and regens the Menders HP until the target is lost or the target takes damage.

    Endure: Heals the Mender for half the amount healed to its current target until the target is lost. 30 second recast, 15 second duration.

    These are just the Mender's special abilities, I haven't come up with its attacks yet, but they follow the same guideline: If the Mender keeps its target, it is very strong, but if it has to switch targets, buffs need to be reapplied to its new target and of course, it needs to be in melee range to do any of this.
