Please display in battle logs the person who removes or rearranges markers

We were having a rough time in Ridorana Lighthouse last night because someone kept removing the markers from the arena. The fix to this seems pretty obvious: if there was something in the log to let us know who was removing the markers, they wouldn’t have done it to begin with. Seems like a pretty easy change and it will save a lot of us a lot of headache from the occasional clown we run into.

    Thanks!

I just had this same issue tonight in Rabanastre while we had new players that weren't sure where to go or how to handle mechanics. Any raid marker that I dropped would instantly disappear -- so someone (or someones) was just sitting there spamming the "Clear Marker" button for sure. It got to the point that I had to give players cardinal directions in chat on where their groups had to go.

In frustration post-raid, I popped a GM ticket in on this issue. The GM informed me that there is no mechanism for players or GM's to know who was clearing the markers. This is obviously a problem. I asked the GM if there was a way for a feature/enhancement request to be made for some level of logging on this...and I was directed to these forums.

A chat message indicating the action would be great. Unfortunately then it would be up to that alliance's group to vote kick that individual, which may or may not happen if people are not paying attention, don't care, or cannot initiate a vote-kick due to an active loot roll or active combat. A cooldown on the "Clear Markers" button may also be needed.

I'd always thought the game recorded pretty much every action for GMs to investigate what was happening, even things that don't get chat notifications to players. It's disappointing (and when it comes up, frustrating) that we as players can't see who changed markers, but really surprising that even GMs can't see it.

Agreed. this would make reporting griefers of this sort much more effective.
