You should leave personal vendettas from other threads in the other threads. Your last comment is about as constructive as all the bickering and buzzwords flying about in this thread.

I'm all for more customization, but the suggestion should have been delivered in a far more mature and more well-thoughtout manner. And buzzwords completely left out of it.

The opening posts and subsequent responses have devolved this thread into nothing more than bickering filled with buzzwords about “white-washing” and the like with regards to character customization in this game. The OP has failed to acknowledge or respond to the myriad of examples provided by posters that some of the traits they desire are achievable in the system as it currently stands. Instead, they chose to personally attack several of the posters that disagreed with them with insinuations that they were stupid and/or slow. Responses like that don’t make people coming into the thread keen to listen to them; at least, it didn’t for me. I have no qualms about people asking for more curly/kinked hairstyles, more face types for all races, or for color sliders/color wheels to add in even more personalization. But the heated talks about skin color and inequality with regards to representativeness were unneeded.

Any sort of well-thought out suggestions were lost the moment people started turning this into a real-life racial “debate” within a fantasy game. If you want to make suggestions for more character customization, leave terminology that can be construed as insinuations that one or more parties are “racist” out of it.

Nor it is spreading lies to say that it’s not constructive to the overall discussion. Your comment about it was completely unnecessary, but you felt the need to make it anyways. You saying "everyone" brings the important factor of why some of you are bothered by the idea suggested in OP: You think that if anyone disagrees with your disagreement of the idea of better race representation that they're calling you a racist. As a matter of fact, you have no proof of such insinuations besides paranoia. What you're essentially seeking is people to rinse the subject through to the point where it's no longer asking for race options so that your paranoia for discussing the subject disappears.

And they keep DOING IT too. Harping and harping on delivery this and delivery that, who cares at this point? If everyone is so on board with everything just talk about the suggestion then.

If I ask for mixed races, who cares if it's because I like mixed people IRL, like humans with plastic kitty ear hats, or like the idea of a Miqo'te-Hyur mix. It doesn't matter.

If someone wants bigger butts, it could be because they want a butt similar to their own, want to see a big butt all the time, want to be aroused all the time, or just want to be normal. The motive doesn't detract from the suggestion.

Stop dodging the request by inflating the thread with stupid tumblr-buzzword-racewar-delivery stuff.

The well has long been tainted, and the OP has no one else except themselves to blame. Notice how every other thread asking for better customization receives precisely zero backlash regarding racism. There's a reason. They don't mention it in their opening post nor anywhere in the discussion thereafter.

Extremely light yet the OP made no less than two direct insinuations of racism, accusing SE of, "catering towards white people." She proceeds with this aggressive undertone and rudely engages everyone instead of attempting to sheer the conversation towards customization or acknowledging they may have been overzealous. People, myself included, are simply responding to how the OP has engaged us. You don't get to abruptly demand people talk about what you purported want after being disingenuous. If the OP showed some humility, perhaps the conversation would have changed long ago. She didn't. And more people chose to comment on the subject which the topic shifted towards. This is why your presentation in any debate is important. Don't blame everyone else because the OP acted defensively and spurred on a racial discussion only to balk when people rightfully called her out.

No one cares about the OP's request any longer. Her attitude has dominated the thread, and that is of her own making. Next time, if you want to discuss the game's lack of customization instead of claiming FFXIV has a racial issue say it has poor customization options.

I already stated I’m not against more customization; I’d actually prefer it over another race. I am against the poor labeling that was done in the thread title and in the opening post, because it sets up a biased premise.

This post also fits into your last comment, by the way. I’ve at least addressed the customization desires in 2/3–now 3/4–of my posts in this thread. That’s not against the forum rules.
